But you'll never admit it. You'll live a closeted life and die a bitter old man.

It doesn't have to be like that, y'know. Just own up and be free.

I'm gonna buy one in a few weeks just to kick the tires. I will never like the Thing Big Grin...as much as a Sig pistol. And if I cant warm up to shooting it, resale!

Didn't see this when I got a good deal on the hated Glock, Must admit it is very accurate, as far as falling in love with it, we won't go that far.

I've tried to like Glocks. My brother just bought a G19 RTF2 and I shot about 50 rounds through it today. Not for me.

Also rented a S&W M&P 9C.
If I buy a polymer pistol it will be that or a HK P2000SK subcompact.

With so many models and calibers, it's hard to chose. Take your time.

I actually *LOOKED* at a Glock 19 today.
I held it, dry fired it.
Fantasized taking out Black Bart and his cronies with it.

I can't believe it. Today, I bought a Glock 17 Gen 4! Amazing gun. I've never owned a Glock; however, I've owned just about everything else. Glock is very light-weight compared to my Sig. I look forward to carrying this around for a couple months and putting several thousand rounds down range to get an idea of what it's like.

I was issued my first handgun in 1969, purchased my first one in 1970, and have probably owned a 100 or so since then, as it is a hobby of mine. My only Glock was about 4 years ago, a G19 2nd generation, looked like new with original box, etc., from a local gunshop.

On first trip to the range it malfunctioned at about round 10, with a failure to eject like I had never seen before. It took me about 15 minutes to clear it. I recreated what the fte looked like, photographed it, and posted the problem on Glock Talk, along with the picture. I was immediately told multiple times that it was my fault (limp wrist) or the ammo's fault (WWB). That went on for a while until someone who knew what he was talking about came to the thread.

He was ex-NYPD and from the picture identified it as a "Phase Three" failure, identical to many experienced by the NYPD, and which their armorers and the Glock factory were never able to resolve. The Gunsite training facility also had identical problems. It occured within a serial number range of 2G Glock 19's. My serial number was in that range.

I learned that this problem is unknown to many Glock fans, but you can Google "Phase Three Glock Problems" and read all about it. Advice from this expert was that the gun cannot be fixed, because the best efforts of Glock and NYPD could not fix theirs. Strange but true.

Edited to add: sold to my gunsmith with full disclosure.
