Young people, particularly ones without curiosity for truth, have zero concept of war, the good and bad purposes for it, and how you win one to achieve a righteous goal. Nada, nothing, empty headed bobbleheads.

Why have we not heard a word about the American citizens held hostage by Hamas?

Netanyahu to undergo hernia operation under full anesthesia

https://justthenews.com/world/..._campaign=newsletter

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to undergo a hernia operation Sunday under general anesthesia, which will leave him fully unconscious, his office said.

The hernia was discovered during a "routine" medical examination of the 74-year-old prime minister on Saturday evening, according to the prime minister's office.

After consulting with his doctors, Netanyahu is set to be hospitalized for the surgery after close of business on Sunday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Yariv Levin will serve as Acting Prime Minister during the operation.

The hernia does not appear to have interfered with Netanyahu's schedule on Sunday.

The prime minister and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, met Sunday in Jerusalem with the families of female soldiers who were abducted on Oct. 7, 2023, during the Hamas terrorist attack that killed about 1,200 people and resulted in the kidnappings of 250 others.

Netanyahu to undergo surgery tonight, Yariv Levin to act as interim PM

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's doctors discovered a hernia during a routine check-up on Saturday night, the Prime Minister's Office said on Sunday.

In consultation with his doctors, it was decided on Sunday that Netanyahu would arrive at a hospital for hernia surgery at the end of the day's Knesset agenda.

The operation will be performed under complete anesthesia, meaning that Yariv Levin, the Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister, will temporarily fill the prime minister's shoes.

Netanyahu entered the hospital last summer due to losing consciousness and hitting his head at his home in Caesarea.

It was nothing, or was it?
He was taken to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, where he underwent several tests, and nothing unusual was found.

He was released from the hospital with a Holter monitor, a type of cardiac monitor.

The incident was likely caused by dehydration, according to a press statement made afterward.

However, the next week, Netanyahu underwent surgery to install a pacemaker after the monitor detected irregularities in his heartbeat.

Yariv Levin will take over as Prime Minister while Netanyahu is under anesthesia.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Sunday that senior Hamas operatives captured by troops in the Gaza Strip have told interrogators “the group is collapsing from within.”

“In the last week or two, hundreds of terrorists have been captured and what they say about what happened to them tells the whole story. They say that Hamas is collapsing from within, the price they are paying is very heavy,” Gallant said following an assessment at the 98th Division’s headquarters.

“We’re going to eliminate everyone who was involved in the events of October 7, the junior [officials], the senior ones and the very senior ones; those who were inside [Israel] or who gave instructions,” he said, referring to the date of Palestinian terror group Hamas’s massive attack on Israel that started the ongoing war.

He said the Israel Defense Forces will continue fighting until they reach all terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

he Nahal Brigade’s reconnaissance unit found weapons, including mortars, explosive devices, sniper rifles, assault rifles, handguns and other military equipment hidden inside patient pillows and beds, and in the dropped ceilings and walls of the building, according to the IDF.

Some 350 patients and medical staff at Shifa Hospital were evacuated by the IDF to a “designated compound” in another part of the complex, where the military has provided them with humanitarian aid and supplies.

The reconnaissance unit also encountered and killed senior Hamas operatives Fadi Dweik and Zakaria Najib during a chase and exchange of fire in the maternity ward last week.

Israel’s Most Advanced Warship Nearly Struck By Long-Range Attack Drone
quote:
One of Israel's prized Sa'ar 6 class corvettes, the country's most advanced warship, came very close to being struck by a long-range one-way attack drone that was launched from Iraq. The ship was sitting docked in Eilat, on the Gulf of Aqaba, when the drone came screaming in, impacting a large warehouse building on the pier beside it.

After the drone hit Eilat, there was a separate and unprecedented Israeli airstrike on a building next to the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria, which killed top Iranian commanders in the region. We are now likely to see many more of these highly targeted long-range attacks from Iranian proxies in the hours and days to come.

Imagery from the morning after the night-time attack on Eilat shows the damage done to the pier-side structure, with an older Sa'ar 4.5 still in port across from it. The Sa'ar 6 can be seen in a video filmed from a distance of the actual attack which indicates it was the intended target. Striking Israel's most advanced warship would certainly have been a major victory for the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of Iranian-aligned militias, under which is said to have launched the drone.

I would have assumed this would be receiving more press than it has. Israel targeted an Iranian consulate building next to the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria today resulting in several high value targets being eliminated. Considered by most to be a major provocation, but also sends a pretty clear message.

Wonder how Bibi’s surgery went. If it was open surgery, he’ll be down for a couple of weeks.

The Iranians just learned that they’re not immune

A few less militant Iranians is always a good thing.

Any idea where the next target is located? How can we help?

Israel has launched strikes into Iran its self in the past to hit nuclear facilities or personnel, so I’m not sure Iranian embassies were ever really considered safe. Maybe safer than the open desert, but Israel hasn’t proven to be terribly squeamish about hitting Iran on their own territory in the past. That is more of a US/European hang-up. I think that is part of the reason why this strike hasn’t, pardon the pun, blown up like some others have.

Israel’s underreported restraint in Gaza

https://www.americanthinker.co...straint_in_gaza.html

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Israel reiterated its intention Thursday to enter the town of Rafah in Gaza to destroy the remaining battalions of Hamas, promising to achieve “total victory” when it did so.

The Biden administration and Israel have been at odds over whether Israel should enter Rafah, with Israeli officials reportedly arguing with White House officials during a Zoom meeting on the topic earlier this week.

In a press briefing, Breitbart News asked Israeli government spokesperson Raquela Karamson: “Is the humanitarian cost of the delay greater than the humanitarian cost would have been if Israel had entered Rafah right away and ended the war with victory?

While declining to answer specifically, Karamson said that Israel’s entry into Rafah “ will be the completion of our war against Hamas ,” and that Israel would do so “to destroy the remaining battalions” of the terror organization.

She quoted war cabinet member Benny Gantz — an opposition figure who recently demanded new elections — as saying that one could not put out 80% of a fire and leave 20% of it still burning.

“When it is time to enter Rafah, we will do so, and we will achieve total victory there,” she said.

Karamson spoke as Israel called up reservists from its air defense units, and canceled leave for combat troops, as it anticipated a response from Iran after Israel killed two Iranian generals in an airstrike in Damascus, Syria, earlier in the week.

She also reiterated Israel’s regret at the accidental killing of seven World Central Kitchen employees earlier in the week, noting that an investigation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) thus far had determined that the airstrike had been the result of a misidentification at night and in complex conditions.

When the invasion of Gaza started, I feared huge Israeli combat casualties. It appears the Hamas ability to fight from the tunnels has been controlled by Israeli tactics.

Israel will not be safe from more attacks by Hamas until it wipes them out. Why Biden has not demanded the release of all Americans held in the tunnels may be because he's forgotten them.
