Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this morning (Saturday, 7 October 2023), from the Kirya¬ in Tel Aviv [translated from Hebrew]:

"Citizens of Israel,

We are at war, not in an operation or in rounds, but at war. This morning, Hamas launched a murderous surprise attack against the State of Israel and its citizens. We have been in this since the early morning hours.

I convened the heads of the security establishment and ordered – first of all – to clear out the communities that have been infiltrated by terrorists. This currently is being carried out.

At the same time, I have ordered an extensive mobilization of reserves and that we return fire of a magnitude that the enemy has not known. The enemy will pay an unprecedented price.

In the meantime, I call on the citizens of Israel to strictly adhere to the directives of the IDF and Home Front Command. We are at war and we will win it."

It was probably funded by Iran, but they'd have funded it with, or without the $6B present we gave them. They're undoubtedly laughing their asses off at us right now though.

Y'all are nuts, they will blow up a dozen weapons caches and operation centers then bow to the outcry from attacking innocent Palestinians. Especially after they pull a few already dead kids out of the morgues and say "look at what the oppressors are doing to the kids."

The Gaza strip is one of the most densely populated areas on earth (3rd) so trying to hit an enemy there will always result in lots of collateral damage. That's the reality Israel faces trying to respond to these things. They have to respond, but how exactly?

The education level isn't particularly high there and then add fanatical religious beliefs and outside agitators to the mix and this is the predictable result.

This has been going on since before I was born and I don't see it changing in my lifetime. Some people on both sides seem to have zero interest in working things out, if that's even possible.

One of the problems with war is that the USA always has to clean up financially.

Even those of low education understand destruction, pain and death. And they have earned it.

There are no people on earth more likely to make the wrong decision than the Palestinians.

I remember the CNN tape of those bastards celebrating in the streets and handing out candy to children when the twin towers were falling. This is before Arafat convinced CNN to hide the tape on pain of death. I saw it live, as they shot it, never to be seen again.

I am generally a person who believes in working things out, but with respect to the Palestinians, and particularly Hamas, there is only one answer; annihilation.
