As it often happens, conspiracists often mix in elements of truth, and there are some accurate facts in that cauldron of spin but, based on that video, I wouldn't rely too heavily on Jimmy Dore for accurate information, unless you are doing oppo research, or just like a little classical Russian apologist mixed in with your dose of truth.

The entire premise of Dore's argument is that NATO has no justification to expand by adding new members or spending money to modernize their forces, when Russia is supposedly no longer a threat... completely ignoring the history of recent Russian aggression and intervention in Georgia, Belarus, and Ukraine, completely ignoring Russia's increasing cooperation with China, and completely ignoring Russia's own military modernization efforts, such as with hypersonic missile technology.. and he does this using Left wing sources and talking points.

Ukraine armed forces have been striking that long line of Russian troops heading to Kyiv while the Russians have used thermobaric weapons against Ukrainian cities, the head of Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency tells Military Times.

“We are striking the enemy’s columns,” Brig. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov told Military Times in an exclusive interview Wednesday morning. “We burn many columns of the enemy.”

The strikes, he said, are being conducted by Ukraine Su-24 and Su-25 fighter jets, artillery and missile barrages.

“My intelligence officers and agents are directing and calling the strikes,” he said.

Marine Lt. Col. Anton Semelroth, a Pentagon spokesman said Wednesday morning he “would not speak to intel assessments.”

Speaking to reporters Wednesday afternoon on the condition of anonymity, a senior defense official said the Pentagon has indications Ukraine forces are targeting the convoy in an attempt to stymie what officials believe is Russia’s ultimate goal: to occupy Kyiv and install a puppet government. The official spoke to reporters on the condition of anonymity.

“We’ve seen indications that at times and at certain places, the convoys may have been resisted by Ukrainian forces and I think I have to leave it at that,” the official said. “But we’ve seen indications that we are in no position to refute [Ukraine claims they have hit the convoy].”

The Russian troops staged around the outside of Ukraine’s capital city appear to be in a holding pattern of some kind, a senior U.S. defense official told reporters Tuesday.

Formations that had been moving toward Kyiv are essentially in the same spot today as they were Monday, the official said, roughly 17 miles outside the city center.

“We believe that that’s for a number of reasons,” the official said. “Obviously, the resistance that they’re facing, the fuel and sustainment problems that they’re having. We are also picking up signs that they’re having problems feeding their troops, that they’re not only running out of gas, but they are running out of food.”

The Pentagon’s assessment echoes multiple reports from recent days that Russian troops are looking for fuel and sustenance as they roll toward Kyiv.

When people who have been against my side start taking what a position which appears to be on what I think is my side, I become cautious what I think I believe is true.

In this shitstorm, I already have a bias against the Soviets, and it is tied to half of my people's history, and to mine directly.

I also have met many "regular Joseph bag of Ponchkas" from Rashka, and many Ukrainian people, most who are Jewish WWII survivors that left after the fall of the curtain (early to mid 90s).

Most of them hate(d) communism, were very nationalistic, and loved family over state.

I mistrust the news, realize there is great propaganda in all things, and that the "truth" of all of this is very much mixed in a deep and murky cesspool.

But the innocent people, the destruction of homes, the fear and the terror, is beyond my ability to simply accept as "deserved" by the Ukraine people because of the likely corruption in government. (show me any government that ever was anything but...).


Putin may state that he was simply trying to "save" the Ukrainian people from corrupt government, "biolabs", and Nazis. Funny, "Lets kill a fuckton of them, that'll save them from this shit!"

They stay away from tactical play-by-play, and instead provide high level strategic briefings on a number of pertinent topics, from the geo-political, force deployment, strategic analysis, civilian evacuation routes and conditions, as well as some good advice on sorting out propaganda and the known from the unknown. They are primarily focused on trying to save civilian lives in conflict zones.

There is nothing earth shattering in this briefing, but they do make some interesting observations and offer some advice worth at least considering.
