Nice little homage - almost spit my drink out when I heard the line and saw the characters present.

Just throwing this out there: Who wants an audiobook titled "The Legends of Mandalor" that is narrated by Emily Swallow aka The Armorer? Hey, it could even be titled, "Tales from The Armorer". This is the Way.

To be honest, I had no idea what he looked like in real life, so I didn’t recognize him.

Same, but my son knew instantly. You'd think he's be in hiding like Salman Rushdie given the disdain for what he hath wrought. Big Grin

I would listen to that.

I love her character. I now want her, instead of Michael Pena, to give my eulogy. . .

ARGH, HERE THERE BE SPOILERS
************************************

I REALLY like what they are doing with Bo Katan. It is as if she had a religious conversion. She was baptized, had a life-changing encounter under water, and is now learning how to live by The Creed i stead of living as an apostate. She even had to ask how to eat without violating the helmet rule. . .

She went from mocking Mando as some religious cultist/zealot, to embracing her newfound culture. Talking to The Armorer was awesome. "I saw a Mythosaur." The Armorer was like, 'sure, sweety, people often have visions.' When Bo insisted she saw one for real, The Armorer did not express outright doubt, but gave a vague 'maybe you did/maybe you did not' answer, while not seeming to be convinced she was telling the truth.

I see this as her path to become a true Mand'alor so she can be their true leader. It is obvious the planet Mandalor is capable of supporting life. This could be the beginning of a rennaissance for them. She has to earn the respect of her people first (this is secondary compared to just physically posessing the Dark Saber (which she will eventually do, I.O).

Oh, and I am re-watching it now. The visuals on this show are STUNNING!!!! Some reviewers complained the episode (the one in the mines, UNDER the desolate abandoned city) was 'too dark.' They got fried for such a stupid complaint, and quickly revoked those criticisms. . .

I recall commenting on how beautiful the visuals were on that episode.

This is, by far, my favorite version of Star Wars.

I agree, it's a simple but, effective plot development however, the mountain she has to climb is all the baggage she bears.
She's directly descended from Mandalorian royalty, all the history, grievances and conflicts of the past are weighed against her. She used to be the leader of Night Owls a unit of Death Watch who questionably carried Darksaber. She'll be grouped in with her estranged sister, the leader of the New Mandalorian Movement, a pacifist ideology which clashed with Death Watch and tore Mandalorian society apart as the Galactic Republic also fell. She's seeking some redemption and fellowship, the Watch offers that ...in a very austere and stoic way.

It will be interesting to see where they go with Bo Katan. I get the impression that she may only be going along with “The Way” to become the head of The Children of the Watch and use them to return to Mandalore. To be honest, they look like they could use some leadership and guidance. What are they doing under the leadership of the Armorer? Doesn’t seem to be much other than sitting around in a cave, training some foundlings (and watching an occasional one get taken by a lake monster or flying dragon), and talking about The Way.

My wife and I enjoyed the most recent episode but the logic (i.e., the lack thereof) and the incessant comments like "They're going to stop and sleep now? He'll be digested before they got up there" did get a little irritating. She finally told me basically "it's Disneyfied Star Wars, just go with it," and I shut up.

It was sloppy writing. The lizard grabs the kid today, but doesn't tryto feed its young until a full day later? They are trying to sneak up on its nest, but they build a CAMPFIRE at the base of the creature's aerie? (That is as dumb as the hobbits cooking bacon on Weathertop in Lord of the Rings).

THEN, they finally arrive at the nest, at the EXACT MOMENT mama shows up to feed the young?

I liked the episode but there was a lot of bad writing.

I am on the 1st Episode of the new season and I have to admit when Grogu was using the force to spin the chair and eat skittles I was dying laughing.
Then Mando grabs the back of the chair to keep him from spinning.
I have been there so many times.

If Carson Teva needed approval from the Col, he should have brought a bottle of Co-Vah-say-AY!

And Zeb's cameo was cool.

Wait, are we talking about the same episode? Last week had the guy that played Jar Jar. This week has Tim Meadows, as well as Zeb from Rebels.

Great to see Zeb, more rebels getting into live-action. Unfortunately, once again Star Wars regardless of program, has zero military or, martial knowledge.

Carson Teva who's assigned to a patrol outpost in the Outer Rim, travels ALL THE WAY to Coruscant to meet with a requisition officer, seeking authorization to repel an assault on Navarro...huh? Who's the CO of that outpost? He has a 'feeling' about the Empire?

Aren't the Mandalorian's supposed to be known for their martial & technical skills? We've yet to see any unique or, distinct fighting ability from them, other than they walk around in metal armor like they're knights from the Middle Ages wearing jet-packs.
