Worse case is we can just build some stairs and a floor up to your safe, then you can pack it and move it.

And it wouldn't be a terrible loss if the sheds went poof. A couple runs down to the medical crates in Balota should fill the medical supplies back up.

I went on there. Not a nice crew. Basically just killed me on sight everytime. I get it's part of the game. Just cause I'm doing doughnuts in the middle of your airfield honking the horn. No need for fatal punishment.

Joey Joe Joe, did you not see my post about 7FPS on Shogun's server? SEVEN CHRIST-LOVIN' FRAMES PER SECOND! 7FPS is what I put up with in Descent on my 386. Yes, that's a fucking flying castle, the only thing holding it up is that shaft of plywood and 2x4s to the left. Basically they built a "Fuck You Noob" castle on the coast right next door to a phat loots spawn. And yes, that's a picture I took with my phone, because they've disabled F12 over there too, either by design or due to the new update. In any case, fuck Shogun, right in his almost certainly fat white ass.

Yea even my machine bogged down to about 38fps. It's a freaking i7 with 16gigs of ram.

There was a HUGE city right in front of the southern air base. Looked like cherno & electro got drunk and threw up all over it.

I already bought Arma2 and Arma2 OA but had not installed them.
installed them ran them then installed DayZ commander. Patched Arma2 checked boxes to allow steam to work ( two check boxes ) installed DayZ Epoch from commander.
clicked on an open server, screen opens, error message at bottom left of screen flashes too quickly to read then get kicked out.
Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

Make sure when you run them. Run steam as admin.

Took me a while to figure it out.

In the meantime, while we wait for Gurney and Nala to straighten out the server issues, we've found another just for gigglepoos where we can mess around. It's just vanilla DayZ, no bases or anything, it's essentially deathmatch so ya'll can get some combat experience. We got a big enough group that we could have a good time against the Rando Calrissians. Server IP is 69.162.119.250:2342

I dunno, last I heard Gurney was dumping the host because they suck. So give it a couple days, some folks are farting around on Shogun's just trolling, but I can't play like that, maxing out at a whopping 15fps if nothing is happening.

Well, Nala is now busily working on the server, last I heard she had fixed the loot and the dogs. Yesterday, Arc and I were farting around and tamed a dog with some raw meatsies, but they wouldn't get in vehicles with you, that has apparently been fixed. I don't know when it will be playable though. In the meantime, like I said, check out that server I posted that's more deathmatch oriented to get some combat experience.

All I know is...I logged onto Shogun's server and your base is cool. We should totally build in a town whenever shit gets up and running again.

It's actually kinda funny. It seems that Arc has a compulsion to do construction work even when he is playing games. That boy just LOOOVES putting up walls! I'm pretty sure that is why he was on Shogun's slideshow-of-a-server. He tried the other server, couldn't build anything, and started getting the shakes. Give him a pile of toolboxes, some lumber, and keep the zombies away and Arc is a happy boy! I'd have been fine playing on the vanilla DayZ server, but nobody was over there when I logged in.

Aeteocles and I actually went up to NW airfield hoping to find a fight, but all we saw was one dude in a little bird who swore some sort of blood-oath to do unspeakable things to Aeteocles because we shot at him a little.

I was compelled to make sure that assholes couldn't just blow the server-borne buildings and take the plot pole. I think I sewed it up nice. Now anyone who gets in, will starve or be shot by us.

I have an affinity for building, no doubt. I dare not play Minecraft.

Anyway, today I got snowed in, so I was on Shoguns a piece. There is A LOT of interest in our base, vehicle and heli traffic.

I took the wheels off that gun truck, to use as a gun emplacement.

The guys who raided the base have recruited, and they're convinced we'll slip up. So, if you wanted to fuck up people, it's heating up like that.

The new server is shaping up, the global update just hosed everyone.

I found a great server that I was on the other night. Great group of guys on there. With some nasty AI.

Don't have the server address. But if you search for "sadistic intentions" I think was the first words on the sever name.

I think it is a PVE server. But the AI is NASTY! I spawned on the beach. Inside 2 minutes I was gunned down by AI in a chopper.

Next time I spawned on the beach. I look toward the water. What do I see? A gun boat with a M2 on the bow. So drove west till I saw the chopper. Then gunned it down out of the sky with the M2. Take that AI!

ARMA 2: Combined Operations is $5 right now on GOG, that comes with the ARMA 2 base game and Op Arrowhead, as well as a mission editor if that sort of thing tickles your fancy.

If anyone is still interested in playing on Shoguns while the other servers get worked on, the "action" everyone has been craving is coming right to us.

People with lots of explosives have decided to try to get into the base there. The last 3 nights have been straight up battles to fend off 3 to 6 people with vehicles and helicopters.

One night it was me and Aeteocles, one night it was me and Tree. One night it was just me. Each time we managed to disuade them barely.

The weakness in that base is the long barn, and that 2 of the 3 plot poles are now gone. Frankly if someone is smart enough to chopper in and put a plot pole down in the front, we're in trouble.

Anyway, they've been attacking in the evenings thru about midnight Eastern time. If you want to fight people, you've got your wish.

Damn...I'm missing all the action.
