The car thing was definitely over the top, but it was no worse than the usual griefer shit you get in online games. Besides, those VW's are cursed. I drive up to stary in one and you get sorta-killed by magically dying bandits. Drive it over to that truck and get myself perforated. You drive one back and the server admin joins Darth Vader on the dark side and blows the shit out of it. I think I will stick with ladas for a while!

COme back from my run and the fuck is back in base after promising to leave. He claims he is begging for food but as I'm about to be nice and give him some he starts shooting like a cowardly fuck.

Gravebone kills him and then his little buddy who was hiding shoots us. We recover but in the confusion I kill Gravebone cause he ran into the room wihtout announcing himself. I can barely see and can't hear cause I have no blood.

Then the douchebags sit and talk shit.

Why was Gurney so accomodating to them?

And boy did his tone change as soon as the admin passed out...

Talked all sorts of shit.

Server goes live and within 5 minutes we have a griefer on it. Smooth.

I frequently stay logged into Mumble because for whatever reason it sometimes takes five minutes to load the server for me. Then again, I don't have any admin powers so me actually being there isn't nearly as important as it is for Gurney when it shows him logged in and not in the AFK channel.

It's Friday night so he's going to get completely shitfaced wasted and thus cannot be trusted to not fuck this up as THE admin. It wont take the punks long to figure out his schedule and do their griefing during those hours.

Nala apparently "took care of it" by deleting their cars. I told her that's a no-no because we are not badmins and that's a badmin move. She felt bad, but she was drunk and I wasn't there to Riker her ass in. I told her no more, you only badmin for good, use it against hackers and players who habitually break the rules.

Right after you logged off, and everyone else but me and gravebone were in the drunk ass channel carrying on about god knows what I hear a vehicle approaching the base.

I asked verbally who was in and by the time the drunks got done making idiotic comments the guy arrived. I held my sights on him and he eventually got in the in game speech part and said he would leave and that he was just checking it out and wouldn't come back.

Well half hour or so later, he starts yelling in the chat that he is at our base and he needs food. Gravebone is sitting there watching him get into all of our cars, or checking them for locks. He never checks any of the sheds where all the food is. Never goes into the industrial area next to base where food ALWAYS spawns. He just keeps screaming in chat trying to bait us back.

I was driving back in my new locked SUV that I bought. I arrive, get out and lock the car.

Gravebone is telling him in chat that this is the wrong place to look and he needs to go.

Well i get out, start walking up the stairs and the cockmaster shoots me. Gravebone kills him and then the guys buddy Merlix shoots him and wounds him.

Then all the lying and shit talking. I pretty much told him that I was about to tell him where the food was (I was in the middle of typing to him in chat that he could take two cans of food and get out, never to return.)


It is one thing if they are going to play the game and attack us. I'm good with that

But all the shit talking, griefing and bullshit is irritating. They are shoot on sight from now on.

I don't know why this is even a problem.

You should have just killed them. It's obvious what they're doing, just put one through their faces. Really shouldn't have opened up until the base was complete, or at least have the base builders doing some base building to seal off them walls in the early hours of the server being up. One whole side was open still.

Okay, got some bad news for any further nooberts who want in with us: we're full. That doesn't mean you can't get on our server and do your thing, but we're running out of room on Mumble I guess and we don't want any potential players to take a look at the server roster and see two dozen folks with the same tags on, it might make them think twice about logging in. The fear of buttrape is strong in the world of gaming. I guess that's true anywhere though... Anyway, the NGA is full for now, but feel free to jump on the server and play, invite your friends, form your own clan, have a good time.

There's some good news too, we've got several new loot areas on the coast, so even if y'all are soloing it there's some good gear for you. Be aware that these areas are also likely to be hideouts for real boy bandit types, looking to grief on the Bambies, so keep your head on a swivel, be smart and before you know it you can chuck that piece of shit Makarov you start with into the sea where it belongs.

So, do we need our own comms server? I've been looking around and they aren't too expensive. How many slots would we need? 50?

Oi, no. I'd say max 20 at best. It doesn't take many voices for it to get confusing.

I was thinking about having the mumble info available on the DayZ server so people could come and hang out or report suspicious activities. We could password protect or give access to certain channels so we didn't have to be listening to all the pubs.

Even then I guess 50 is too many. We could probably get away with 20 or 25. The place I was looking at allows you to add slots as needed.

I'd like to renew my appeal for folks to not park unlocked guntrucks in or near the base. If it hasn't happened to you, trust me it's frustrating when an AI quietly finds a M2 inside or immediately outside the base, and as soon as it sees you, apparently even through walls, the familiar thumping begins and you're down.

Also, If you log in and wonder "where is my helicopter?" Just assume it exploded. That will save a lot of explaining.

Somehow, your helicopter will explode, and it probably has something to do with AI, machineguns, fuel trucks, and a chain of exploding vehicles.

If you log in and wonder "Where is my car?" Ask yourself the following:

Was my car lockable? Did I lock it? If it was not lockable, or unlocked, AI may have taken it, if it was outside the base this is highly likely.

If you parked your car near a helicopter, or where helicopters are likely to land, please see the above comments about explosions.

In short, if things aren't like you remembered them when you last logged in, It's probably because KAAAAAABBOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

Hey, thanks to whoever left the two gun trucks at base last night. The AI just seems to materialize in/near them.

After suffering the gun trucks, I did make a successful run to Balota alone, found an L115, Suppressed M4 CCO, and an M48 SAW.

It appears that AI spawn and try to jack the vehicles, but can't get out of the base with a vehicle, so they just sit and drive back and forth.
