The 18 is indeed pretty cool. Don't have a G18 or G18C waiting for me, but we had a new production Gen3 G19C come in a couple of days ago and surprisingly I found myself putting my name on it. Despite the awful 10rd mags, it's one last Austrian Glock before prices go way up... Frown

jljones - I’m curious to know if you typically run OEM mags or aftermarket mags (Shield, PSA, etc) in your 43x.

Thx!

My latest creation. It was a gen 2 trade in pistol and the bottom of the frame had some damage,a bunch of chips/chunks missing. I sold the factory upper a while back, not really sure why, but then I cut the bottom of the frame to accept Glock 19 mags, gave it a quick texture and bought a P80 builder slide and this thing runs like a top. I call it my Franken-Glock.

Some people have a gift of being able to stipple/put a design on the grip but not me. It functions perfectly and that is all I really care about.

It's just hard to argue the efficacy of the Gen 5 Glock 19. I have a Ruger RXM and it's great. But the Gen 5 Glock 19 does everything it is supposed to do, and does it well. And they aren't that expensive if you shop around even a little.

With Glock discontinuing the G29 and it still being something I can buy in CA, I’m strongly considering buying one… I still have my “Freedom Week” Glock 20 mags. Should I do it?

If you walked into a gun store and its in the store, you might as well.

It happened that way with a Matte Stainless CZ75b, it was recently discontinued and I was on a few "be notified when in stock" emails, but I walked into the gunshop at the gun range that I visit, theres one in the display case at MSRP, I bought it, and I'm glad I bought it. Gunbroker has them almost twice that now.

I hate to admit this, but a Glock rep stopped by work today to see if we needed any parts (I just asked for RSAs). But he let me try out a 45 COA and 43X COA.

As much as I hate red dots, the COA guns were pretty impressive. I am going to ask the chief if I can order a couple for testing. We're getting ready to hire some people and instead of ordering more MOS-5 guns and RMRs, it will actually be cheaper to order a COA gun.

Not minority enough!

I've posted in this thread, I dont know how many times...
Yeah, I have more than a few Glocks.
They dont have names outside of "G-21", "G-17", "G-19"... The closest I get to fondling them is a decent dry-fire session. And I dont have a bomb shelter.

But to illustrate how bad this damn thread is after just over 16 years:
I'm past buying a Glock for myself, this thread has gotten to my Wife (G-43X) and just as of a few hours ago-

My oldest son.
In a few day's he's going to be the owner of a Glock G-47.
It's a Birthday/Graduation/Accepted to College gift.

Damn this thread is expensive! Cool

No, Thankfully!
He graduates high school in a few weeks, got accepted to the college he wanted. I know about our draconian mag restrictions. Mad When he's shooting with me, I don't think anyone is gonna say anything if he's using one of my 17 round mags.

I sure-as-hell wouldn't say anything!

There was a brief window as the law was being enacted during which I ordered a 47MOS, but I let a couple days go by before I picked it up, another judge kicked in another opinion, and my mags are in limbo. I bought a 10-round but haven't taken it to the range yet.

Yes, sometime soon. I've got a GSSF coupon and will buy a 48 with it. Debating which of 3 stores to go to for it. Will check all 3 to confirm availability and price, which could affect the choice. So yes, not if, just when and where.
