I thought the G19.5 was the bees knees with the medium beaver tail backstrap… until I handled the G6 with no backstrap. I am a convert and think the G6 fits me much better.

I have not shot a Gen6 as of yet but I agree they FEEL fairly radically different in the hand. I THINK they are likely better for small to medium handed shooters but possibly worse for the big pawed among us. The only thing keeping me from running out and grabbing a G19 is the beaver tail. It’s unnecessarily large for my hand size and I THINK I would not like it carrying IWB. Again I have not carried or shot one only handled so I could be completely wrong with everything I said in actual practice. To everybody complaining about the trigger online etc. I’ve handled a bunch of Gen6s and dry fired as well as have shot a ton of previous Glocks. To me it has, wait for it………. A Glock trigger. Wahoo, I think the GEN4 guns were “the worst” in this regard but by worst I just mean marginally different GLOCK TRIGGER from the rest. The blessing and the curse of Glock is……..they are and always shall be Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

I carry in a Vedder Lighttuck and the beaver tail doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t ever recall even feeling it. I agree the trigger is typical Glock, but I like the smooth trigger shoe but don’t really care about the flat trigger. It’s the grip that sets this apart IMO.

One of the things about the Gen-6 Glocks is that they come standard with the beaver tail, yet it still includes the interchangeable back straps. Where as some of the previous generations had the interchangeable back straps, and one of them came with the beaver tail. The back straps will accommodate length and size of hands. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Been wanting one of the Mini 19X's for a while now. Need to get it to the range and see how it runs. Came with two of the new factory 15's. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” "A man who does not read has no appreciable advantage over a man who cannot read."

The Shiv is currently on sale for $425 + free shipping. https://glutenfreegear.com/BLE...ve-Works_p_1283.html P220Smudge, would I be correct in assuming that since you have two of them, you recommend them?

Not pictured is the third, in raw titanium. Yes, I highly recommend. If you think of these more as a moderator than a "silencer," you'll be pleased. No gas and unburnt powder peppering in the face, drops it down to "hearing painless" with both subs and supers out of everything I've shot them on. A 2.3-2.5oz can that doesn't meaningfully change the balance of the gun. Some Glocks want a lighter recoil spring to cycle with them, but the 43X runs 115gr and 147's on the stock RSA without a hiccup. I wanted a handgun and suppressor combo I could hand to a preteen boy or a smaller statured woman shooter in a 9mm that would cycle and not induce a flinch. I think I'm there with this setup. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” "A man who does not read has no appreciable advantage over a man who cannot read."
