I don't have firsthand experience but one of my friends have been running every MecGar Glock mag that comes out hard in weekly competitions. Not one issue for him.

For real?![]() |
I have six of the 18rd mags and four of the 15 rd mags made by MecGar. Bought them when first available. I have had no issues in various Glocks, PSA Daggers and Staccatos. None have prematurely ejected which I think was the issue some people have. All my guns' mag releases are stock. I primarily use them in my issued Glock 45. I've taken it to several classes and never had an issue. I've even used one to test fire a "switched" Glock we seized. Keeps up just fine. Not minority enough!

Good to hear. I'm planning to grab a couple for testing, and then possibly carry them on duty after vetting.

I use the Mec-gar in my issued G45 and in both my G19s, gen 5 & 6. Never had any kind of issue. I plan to get more to carry for my spare mags on my belt, too.

I have tried everything possible I could think of to get the mags to drop on their own and have not been successful. Mine are from the initial run, some of the first ones Greg Cote got in. https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...935/m/7940034115/p/3 ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Mine have been perfect. I have 3 I use as my regulars. I did that because of the internet rumors, I wanted to try them out. Just used them again last week. Internet is not to be trusted in all cases.

CH Precision. Looks like one of the Holosun plates would have fit, but would have left a void on the rear end of the cut, this one bridged the gap. I bought the CHP simply because it's the one that was in stock. https://chpws.com/product/v4-m...its-gen-6-glock-mos/ Have you had a chance to fit your dawson plate? NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. No. I sent my slide out for work and it hasn't returned and I mounted the RMR I had onto the simunition gun. I think I have an old Holosun 407C somewhere that should fit the RMR plate. I'll test fit everything when my slide returns. Not minority enough!

While I have no issues with my 407c gr I find myself wishing I had gotten an EPS gr instead. Looks great!

I like the EPS line up. I have an EPS carry on my 48 and a carry on top of my LPVO, both of which have served well thus far. The EPS carry on my 48 replaced an RMRcc that I could just never shoot well. I was close to picking up the 507Comp for the new G17, but I'm happy with the EPS so far. I'll get some more time on it and we'll be like old friends. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

I always wanted a G17L so I got this new gen 5 one. I didn't lube it just shot it with the copper stuff on it with a mix of 3 Mecgar 18 round magazines and 4-5 Glock 17 Gen 5 magazines. It's super accurate even with irons at 25 yards. PS I also got a G45 & G49 for switcharoo goodness *cue imperial theme* I have now bought a Glock during the timeframe of this thread, Para wins. I guess I have a type. Picked up the COA a few hours ago. I really like it so far. This gun feels so much better in the hand. I don’t think I’ll be dumping the others, but if it proves reliable, this’ll be my carry piece. And for what it's worth, the $40 Bear Creek Arsenal threaded "Gen 1-5 compatible" barrel also fits in the Gen 6 and I don't feel any binding or anything wonky when cycling it with snap caps, so I'll probably try it suppressed tomorrow night. Gonna go out in the back yard and see what the light transmission through the COA is like with NODs. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

I'm super impressed with the COA so far. Clarity is better than the SRO, with less warping and distortion as you move the gun around. It's not as tinted, either. With NODs, you can't even see the housing, it's like it isn't even there. This is a really good pistol optic so far, just compared to the other two pictured. I like it.
For Gen 5? ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

Just got back from a night shoot, and put probably close to 200 rounds through the G45.6 COA. No real surprises, no malfunctions, and it's a pleasure to shoot. It feels like a Glock, but also like a P30 or a PDP, but refined. The people who are bitching about the texturing not being aggressive enough are nuts. We compared it to a friend's PDP and I actually liked the Gen 6 better in the hand. It's a Glock trigger, and I think I'll eventually see what Johnny Glock does with the Gen 6 triggers, but otherwise, I think it'll be great for carry. Into the holster it goes. I really like this gun, and my friends who came out tonight were all impressed with it. With a Surefire X300U, it's a heck of a nightstand gun. Oh, and I think the COA is the best pistol optic I've tried out so far. Window size is enough to track the dot through the recoil cycle, the glass is very clear, and the buttons are just right. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.
