I wonder if all of those people shot and killed by people carrying Glocks KNOW that they're not really dead, because they weren't shot with REAL guns?

I seem to have lost all of my guns in a boating accident in a very deep lake that I do not remember the location of.

The first Glock was a full size 45 acp and wasn't bad. At the pressure level that cartridge is loaded to bad things aren't as likely to happen. The second was a 40 S&W. Due to the way the feed ramp was cut on that pistol, a half moon shape raised place showed up on every single fired case. It was next to impossible to cycle the brass through carbide sizing dies after that happened. I complained to Glock and they said it wasn't a problem and that they didn't want reloads fired in their pistols anyway. I don't need or want a pistol I can't reload for. I have loaded .44 mag and .45 long colt loads with 325 grain cast bullets in the past that will penetrate 12 inches of seasoned oak with no problem. I've also loaded for a .454 casull in the past. I've loaded for many different 1911s with no problem. That Glock 40 S&W is the only gun I've ever had a problem with. I have a friend who is a certified range instructor who also admits that their have been more than a few Glocks that have had problems with the 357 Sig. Once again the issue is caused by a chamber that isn't properly supported. Some of these pistols have actually blown a hole in the side of the case. Gaston Glock needs to wake up and build pistols with SAMMI spec chambers and be more careful with how the feed ramp is cut so as to better support the side of the case head. It would also be good if he could build a pistol that is as accurate as a Sig. I'm speaking of stock guns here, not pistols with aftermarket barrels and other parts. It should operate properly right out of the box.

Dammit, SigForum.

DAMMIT.

You guys are ALWAYS right.

I bought a lightly used G26 today. It just fit the bill for everything I was looking for - Size, weight, capacity, reliability. No safety to mess with. Should be a great carry piece.

Dammit, Para...and your voodoo magic.

Hmm, all of my Glocks (9mms and .40s) are as accurate or more accurate than my DA/SA Sigs. In fact the most accurate pistols I have ever owned (this includes SIGS, HK P7, semi custom 1911s) are my G34 and G35.In fact I will say my first round out of a Glock is much more accurate than that first DA round out of s SIG. I carry a SIG on duty but I carry a G19 off duty. When running my department's combat course, I place and rank around 4-7 (depends on good day or bad day) out of 42 officers with the SIG. With the G19, I place #1 or #2 every year. All of my Glocks have operated great right out of the box. The difference with the Glocks, I can set them up exactly the way I want them.

I just bought a G34 today. I hope I can adjust well to it. Quite the sight radius on that gun.

Very odd. My Gen 3 Glock 32 in .357 SIG has a fully supported chamber. Zero case bulge.

I don't think so partner. Here's my stock G32 barrel compared to a CZ 9mm.

My gun history:

Years ago, my first gun was a colt 1911 just wne the 80 series first came out. It would not empty a magazine without jamming. I had to carry this gun for work so I took it back and tried another one that did the exact same thing. Then I bought a Sig P230 that functioned flawlessly.

Then the Colt Officer's ACP came out and it fit my hand so perfectly and was so easy to conceal that I bought one and had 500.00 worth of work done on it but it still would not work well enough to carry so I kept it and continued to carry the smaller caliber Sig.

Years Later...

Owned two Glock 30's...both fuctioned perfectly but had the usual "Glock Triggers Suck" problem. Then bought two Glock 27's. One functioned perfectly, the other would not empty a magazine without jamming. Sent it back and within a week, had a new gun tha turned out to be fully functional.

Then I stumbled into a bee's nest and bought a Glock 36.

The model 36 is total crap. Mine actually had a magazine well that was too large and thus caused the slide not to stay open after the last shot and caused it to jam occasionally. Glock replaced the trigger group and claimed it was fixed. Sent it back and they sent me some new mags and stated that it was within factory specs. They knew they had a problem and started to dodge the issue as I have learned from other forums.

Now I have a Sig 1911 RCS two tone. The Sig factory mags will not work, but with Wilson Combat mags, the gun functions as flawlessly as a glock, feels much better in my hand and has a trigger that allows me to hit what I aim at.

Yea, you will own a glock. You may even like it. But Glocks are just tools. My Sig is a thing of beauty.

An update on my recent Glock-ification...

Shot my new-to-me G26 today...that's a great little pistol. The Scherer pinky extensions make it fit my hand just right.

I think you'll find it is a great carry piece. I know that I have. I've yet to give mine a name though; that's a little weird . . .

I know I'm a complainer.

I can get a Gen 4 G17 for $425 so why wouldn't I?
