It's a pussycat. A Glock will handle it all day long. As a matter of fact, you won't find a 9mm load that your Glock can't handle, and I'm serious.

Thank you, Para! I'll give the thread a good read. I was dealing with health issues back then and missed it.

9BPLE is as close to a factory/SAMMI/Quality +p+ load ever and the Glocks will easily handle it. It’s not like some wildcat/sub gun load or anything.

There really isn’t any “modern” pistol I’d blink an eye about running 9BPLE through.

Thanks, cslinger. I read that thread from two years back that Para linked for me, and I'm going to get some more 9BPLE while I can.

Other types of +P+ mentioned there may be better, but I searched for it and couldn't find any. I asked in a thread a couple weeks back if anybody knew of a company called US Armorment because they had it in bulk at a really low price, but there were no responses, so I guess I better go after the supplies I did find.

While older tech it had a pretty fantastic reputation when it was used by LEO’s more widely.

If you can get a bunch cheaper it should serve you well.

My opinion, and to be honest I don’t know much about much so take it for what it’s worth, is if you find yourself buying more modern ammo (HST, Gold Dot etc. etc. bonded stuff) you really don’t need the +P or higher velocities as the projectile is doing most of work that raw velocity was doing in years past.

I understand. I have a supply of Speer GDHP 9mm+P, but at this point I may be able to get HST cheaper, so I'm evaluating Bang for the Buck right now. Still leaning towards that 9BPLE, for the moment.

Nothing noticeable on the barrel or slide. We still change the RSA's on schedule.

I will buy a 29g5 MOS. I wonder how a TLR7 looks on it.

Also a G36 in 10mm if they make it.

Like this, just without the finger grooves, and with forward slide serrations. Wink

I kinda want a Gen5 MOS G30. I had a”Fat” GEN3 30 and it is one of the few guns I regret selling. It shot so well for me, which makes no sense as I certainly don’t have MAN!!! hands. Frown Smile

Well these look like non MOS models.
After a year or so of selling these, Glock will release the MOS version.

Just like they did with the silver slide 42. Sell till it slows down then release the 43X in silver slide. Sell till it slows down then release the black 43X.

They know how to market.

I'm going to have to go see how the 29 feels in my hand.

They made a silver slide 42? Are you thinking of the 48? I had one of those, and I seem to remember those being the first factory two tone Glocks as a standard model and not a Lipsey's or Davidson's.

Frankly, if it matters, I can’t tell a lot of performance difference in any of the 9mm models from generation to generation.

Yep totally agree. I have just been putting off “replacing” it for years and I have found I like the Gen 5 frames. I haven’t been waiting specifically for the 5 so to speak it just might scratch an itch.

I did, however, not like the G30S. Something about the chunky monkeys worked for me. Smile

Same, and I have one of each, 1-5. It all comes down to basically some ergonomic and trigger differences. They all shoot more or less the same.

Oooh....Gen 5 G29? The Glock rep at NRAAM last year told me they weren't going to do that. I'm not really a Glock guy, but the G29 has some appeal, especially without the finger grooves and the Gen 5 barrel design. Sig better get their act together on a compact 10mm P320 before I give in and buy one of these instead.

A month with no posts on the thread? First one this year: I've not followed up on checking the G47 out, nor 49. SHOT Show approacheth; will Glock have something new to highlight at it?

I hope to make Monday a range day, and check the LGS for a G47.

Last purchase of 2023. Just got the mags yesterday. Need to get to the range to ensure the mags function as well as stock. Holster arrives next week.

Still trying to decide on night sights or an EPS Carry, or both.
