G30S one i have looked as closely as my first Glock, also if i can find a G19 Gen 4 in OD i would be very tempted.

would like to see the G30S in a Gen 4 frame sometime.

I bought my G30s before they Gen 4 came out. I don't like the texture. I hardly carry my G26/G4 because of it. YMMV.

I just realized Im down to three Sigs and up to three Glocks.

I fondled a G30SF, G30S and G30SF Gen 4 at the big cop shop in town last week... I have owned a 30SF before and liked it but it was a brick... The 30S pointed for me like it was made for my hand. I was really impressed and it is only slightly heavier than my Glock 26.

I don't mind Gen 4 but I don't mind Gen 3, either. Both fit me well and I shoot both well.

Sold a 23 earlier this year, I hated that gun. Bought a G19 3rd gen for $400 the other day. Wifey is taking personal defense a little more seriously these days and she really like the S&W MP9c, so I got her that and am making the G19 our bump in the night gun. should be easier for her to use should she need to.

Same here. I'm holding out for the Gen 4, or I would have snagged a G30S already.

If you're really desperate, you can get a Gen 4 G30 and either a Gen 3 G36 or Gen 3 G30S, and put the Gen 3 G36/G30S slide on the Gen 4 G30 frame. It'll be identical to a Gen 4 G30S, except for the roll marks on the slide.

But you'll also be spending twice as much, and the new Franken-G30S will not be covered by the warranty. I'd rather just wait until the Gen 4 G30S is released.

Yes i have seen one or two of the Franken Glocks you described, and like you I'm just going to wait.

I have liked Glocks before, but the Gen 4 for me really peaked my interest, i also like the options you get with the Gen 4 so it's only a matter of time.

...you will buy a Glock. Then you will take it out of the box, you will put 4 drops of oil on the rails, and you will load 5 mags and shoot it in a practice match.

Glock 19/gen4, fresh out of the box. We shot 300 rds thru it Saturday with boring reliability.

Gun shot a pinch high, and once we knew where it hit the plates fell faster.

Here's me in one early morning vid, and one of my sons in the other. Ryan did pretty good considering he hasn't been shooting in about 6 months. He picked up that gun cold and let er' rip.

Oh, that can't be right. According to....ummm....certain manufacturers, you have to shoot 500 rounds through it to "break it in". During this "break-in" period, your pistol should presumably malfunction in various ways; failure to feed, failure to eject, slide failing to lock back on last round, et cetera.

Then, when it continues to malf in rounds 501 and above, you should send it back to the manufacturer at least twice.

After a few weeks of frustration, then...maybe, it will function most of the time.

This will be your queue that your pistol needs more "break-in".

I sure hope you don't have to deal with a break-in during your pistol's break-in, nahm sane?

I still much prefer the looks of Sigs and Springfields, but I purchased a slightly used Gen 4 G27 last night with polished internals and barrel and ghost trigger for $460. Pearce extensions on all 3 mags, too, which I am a big fan of.

Never have liked the looks of the compact or full size models, but the baby Glocks have always looked fine to me. Grip feels much better also as I have medium sized hands and most of the ones I've picked up feel huge in the grip. We'll see how long the Glock love lasts.

That's weird...they gave me the pistol free with the last hat I bought.

'Course a man can only afford so many $500 hats. Wink

Congrats on the pick-up.

Now that is just plain funny!

When I first started thinking Glock I wound up over there from a Google search. It took me about five minutes to feel homesick for SIGforum. Ever since, I have become one of those "annoying" people who posts all my Block questions to the Sig faithful. Smile

Similar circumstance here also.

Owning a couple Glocks, which I didn't before joining and reading this forum, I also visit that other place, but rarely.

Ok. I'm finally posting on this thread. Couldn't resist, having purchased this G19 last week. It is as advertised, in every way. The only reason it took me this long to get the storied 19 is that I first purchased G26 and G36 pistols. Having recently parted with those (G26 gifted to son and G36 sold), I made the necessary purchase. I love it.

All that said, The PPQ M2 may be the G19's daddy. In addition, for me, the concealment benefits of the G26 may give it the edge over the 19 for CCW given how well I shoot the 26.
Wink

Okay I stopped in to my LGS and asked them to order me a 938 SAS and on a whim I had them haul out a 19 G4 for me to fondle. First time I've held a Glock in many years.

The force is strong with the 19, and I can see why people rave about it. Anyone have the Trijicon HD sights on theirs?

EDIT - Also, welcome to Page 281.
