I'll never join the dark side ... I'm a Jedi, like my father before me ... you will never convince me to embrace hatred, and turn to the dark side!!! Big Grin

Actually, I may just do that, dude! I have always longed for a reliable 10mm auto...

The 30sf is nice. But never ever going to happen. I will not pass up a free Glock.

I have no Glock, nor intentions to buy one. Same for 1911's.

I try them every time my main shooting buddy and I go to the range - he likes (and shoots very well) both of the platforms - but I just can't warm up to them.

Fortunately, I'm too old to "change my ways" so there's little danger of any of my money being diverted from collecting Sigs. I'm a DA/SA kinda guy and foresee little chance of anyone "teaching this old dog any new tricks."

I did shoot a couple of the Evil Black Pistols this weekend and found little to criticize, except they don't feel as good in my hand as my Sigs.

Sorry, Para, I think I'm not one included in your prediction. Now, if you start a new thread entitled: "You Will Buy a HK", I'm probably very easily persuaded.

Glock 17 RTF on the way and I picked up a very nice used G19 and some extra magazines.

Never, no interest in them what so ever. Sorry but all I read on this thread was your title and your first post. But I have none, nada, zilch, zero interest in a Glock.

YMMV,

Mark

<- Guilty

just bought a Glock 19. held a 17 but didn't like how hand fit with the finger grooves compared to the 19

took it to the range and put 150 round through it

thoughts :

Its not nearly as comfortable to shoot as my sigs. I shoot left-handed and quickly noticed my middle finger on my left shooting hand was getting rubbed raw by the magazine release button while shooting. anything I can do about that ? maybe I need to modify my grip but I was holding it as it felt most natural

it spit a few hot brass cases at my head that luckily bounced off my hat, again this has never happened with my sig. hopefully this will go away after another couple hundred rounds ?

on my third magazine of practice, I guess I slapped the magazine a little too hard into the gun and the slide automatically slammed home and chambered a round. kind of startled me, I don't like that happening. hasn't happened with my sigs, but my ruger lcp does this sometimes

I had no malfunctions of any kind, (FTF, FTE) and overall I did enjoy the gun and think it will be a welcome permanent addition to my collection. but I think it really made me appreciate the ergonomics of my sigs

Gosh, Mark, it sure seems like you went out of your way to tell us how uninterested in all this you are. Razz

Interesting that this thread is still going. Somehow I've resisted the call to Glock.

Valhalla1:

Go to the "Tango down" website and pick up Larry Vickers's extended mag release for the 9mm Glocks. It's sort of rounded out and awesome. However, if you don't want to do that, you could always take it out and file it down yourself a little.

These subliminal shenanigans may have some effect on the innocent ... I think I may have experienced a "lucid dream" about a Glock 20 night before last... Eek
