I want so bad to like a G19 but the grip is horrible for me after having a M&P and a Sig. After those I am kinda spoiled on the comfort grip. Even the SF ones I have held feel no different. Its the bottom back of the grip that gets me. One day Ill just say fuckit and get one anyway.

Well, I've given Glock one more shot. Over the years I've owned (in numerical order) these models: 19 (x2), 20, 21SF, 22, 23, 26, 29, 30, and 33. I keep trying them because I want to like them. Their uber-utility cannot be surpassed, and I like that. I ordered a 38 from my FFL last week, and it should arrive in a few days. I'm hoping this one will work out. I've got my ammo, so when it comes in, we'll see. Si non vis bellum para pacem--Karl Barth

Good lord Para, what have you created? 28 freaking pages!? Its a monster, a monster I tell you!!! So many have embraced the Truth, yet so many still remain unbelievers... all in good time... And the Zen Master said, "We'll see..."

PistolPackingParson....Are you single handedly supplying the entire used gun market? I guess people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, but I couldn't help but notice. Maybe I will buy a Glock when there will be a safe decocking device on it. " Any guns are allways loadd "

Exactly what is it you want to be able to decock? There is no hammer and it has no such thing as a DA or SA trigger pull. •••••••••••••••••••• "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." - Benjamin Franklin

Some month ago here happened an accident when a Glock 17 was put in the original box on the range. This is only possible when the trigger is pulled wholly back. In front of the box stood an man . Luckily the injury was not very serious . Of course it was negligent to overlook a cartridge in the barrel, but with a safe decocking possibility this had not happened. See Murphys Law ..

I know. I know. I need help. Fortunately, I've always been able to get Glocks at reduced prices. Most of these were bought used and at $50 over the dealer's cost, so when I'd realized that I had yet again made a mistake, I had all but one time broken-even. I am, of course, insane. A decocking device would obviate the purpose of having a Glock. Why would you want that? Revolvers have never had decocking devices. You pull the trigger on a wheel gun, it goes bang. Same thing with a Glock. A Glock has three safeties already built into the trigger mechanism. Don't want it to shoot? Keep your finger off the trigger. It couldn't be simpler. SIGnature: Jere

The Glock was put back in the box loaded? If the person was foolish enough to put the gun back in the box without clearing it first, he probably would have put it back cocked. There's no accounting for stupidity and there's no way a manufacturer can build a gun that will take into account every stupid thing a person might do. SIGnature: Jere

Trying to argue against a Glock based on safety is totally foolish. Look at most everyone who has shot themselves, or someone else accidentally with one and they would have done the same thing with any other brand. Stupid is stupid, period. Even Forrest Gump knows that. Bill T.

I'd guess that a Colt 1911 supposedly in Condition One (cocked and locked) has been responsible for a few accidental shootings. I carried one early in my law enforcement career and -- so help me -- I'd check the thumb safety every so often and find it in the down position. How it got that way, I couldn't say. Something bumped it, I guess, and left the 1911 a tiny trigger squeeze from going off. That would never happen with a Glock, but never mind. Glock-haters will have their say. Glocks AND Sigs are in my inventory and I am subject to carrying and shooting them at any time. SIGnature: Jere

I currently have four G19's (three of them NIB), two G21SF's, and a G23. I figure that you can't have enough G19's, and they're cheap enough to keep spares in the safe. I almost never shoot my Sigs and HK's anymore. I'd sell them, but then my collection would be almost entirely 1911's and Glocks, and I like to have some variety -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Guns, cars, Cuban cigars

SVTNate, I currently have three Glock 19's (two NIB), I guess I need to pick up one more. And I probably will, I'm thinking of buying one to keep at my dad's (he lives in WA) that way I'll have a Glock 19 when I fly out to visit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Revolvers have normally outside positioned hammers. Such as 1911, Sigs, HKs, ... A little difference ..

I'll buy one of the G19s from you if it's OD. And stop saying you collect this model. You'll drive up the price! SIGnature: Jere
