Never thought i would. But today i bought a g30/sf. Friend of mine was going to trade it for a 23. Talked him into selling it to me for $400. Came with 4 mags and those grip extensions, 200 rounds of winchester white box,100rounds of Golden Saber HPJ and 50 rounds of Federal Hydra shock. He only had 150 rounds through her. Will post pictures this weekend and get to the range. John Sig 229 SCT .9mm & .40 HK P2000sk HK P7 HK P7 M8

Someone please correct me if I am wrong........ I now have a G19 and a G22. I know I can swap the G22 barrel for a G31 barrel and run 357sig thru it using the 40cal mags. BUT, can I run a G32 or G23 slide, barrel, and appropriate mags on my G19 frame? Same question for the G22, can I run a G17 slide and barrel with G17 mags on the G22 frame? This inquiring mind wants to know...

Yep. I see in your picture that your 19 is a 3-pin, so you are good to go. As others have mentioned, you might want to change the ejector when you do the swap too. Cheers, Waco Learning from my mistakes since 1974...

I found a Gen 2.5 G-26 yesterday, bought it and brought it home. This is my first "Baby Glock" and I gotta tell ya I'm impressed how well this little half sized street brick hides! Can't wait too shoot it! It's one of the "E" series Glocks, but considering the current state of things at Glock I think I'll just keep it as is rather than let them mess with it. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd rather have a good old Glorp that runs, than a new one that dings me in the head with brass. Dale POW/MIA: You are Not Forgotten

SNAP! I'd still like to pick up a G-19 at some point.....maybe a G-32 as well. _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. How have I missed this thread - HOW! A committed S&W collector, I DO have this secret semi-auto plastic thing going on... ... it's like riding a Moped - it's OK as long as your friends don't see you. GGF

Yep - I crossed over. 25 years and nearly as many P220's later, tonight I bought a Glock. Last week, a buddy of mine asked me to ride with him to the LGS to look at a Gen 3 17 he was interested in purchasing. Upon arrival, we learned instead the pistol in inventory was a Gen 3 17L. As his attention reluctantly turned towards a Gen 4, I fondled that 17L - a lot. And I liked it. The longer sight radius, the skeletonized slide, the heft of an extra inch of barrel - exotic. I recall commenting that evening; "If I were going to own only one Glock . . . ". After a week of discussing 9x19mm Glocks of various generations and frame sizes, I couldn't get the image of that big 17L out of my mind. So this evening, credit card and driver's license in hand, I drove to my dealer's shop and brought her home. As soon as I get some acceptable Western PA sunlight, I'll snap some photos - hopefully at the range. I have a bad habit of not shooting a lot of my pistols, however I can't wait to send a few down range with this one. GLOCK 17L w/ Benchmade 585 Mini-Barrage This message has been edited. RTF (1.0, I suppose...) => Original Gen3 finish texture. Only "rough texture" (and barely at that, IMO) when compared to the earlier generations of Glocks. Certain people grumble about how anti-rough the Gen3 actually is while skateboard tape makers gleefully discover that there's an unexpected, burgeoning market for their product... Glock responds a few years later with the considerably pricklier RTF2. The hardcore loved the aggressive texture. The ones who hate having to replace their shirts due to vastly accelerated worn spots curiously shaped like the grip of their carry pistol, maybe not so much. As a result Glock decides to tone down the pyramid points and go with raised squares...viola, a new 'RTF' finish. In conjunction they'll proceed to inadvertently muck up their once-seamless product by making all sorts of internal revisions and top it off by putting it in a (slightly) new RTF wrapper, and BOO...we have the Gen4. According to the US Glock website, it's just called "RTF" for Rough Texture Frame, kind of like the original RTF, only except done quite differently. Clear as mud yet? Personally, I wish that Glock had kept the RTF2 texture. My G17 in that finish is damn near perfect, and it's certainly my favorite textured finish on any handgun, period. As to them bringing it back; anything is possible but I suspect that for the majority of the marketplace (civilians and professionals alike), the current less aggressive Gen4 RTF is more than adequate for the task.
