I'm honestly curious and trying to understand. Was there a violation of forum rules or is it just arbitrary censorship of opinions you don't share?

I am afraid that I am getting the hankering for another Glock 23. Thought about getting a 40 barrel for my 32 but decided just to get another pistol.

Only question now is do I get a gen 4 or gen3. All my others are gen3. May swing to the gen 4 as this will rotate with my 27 as my daily carry now that summer has arrived here in ga

I too would prefer an M&P 9mm or .40sw, even CZ, before i consider buying a Glock... nothing really negative to say about them, just that aesthetically/ergonomically, they're just not for me. Glock fanboys, please don't argue with me. It's simply my opinion, not hardcore facts I'm stating.

Yuo really need to buy one.

They are cheap, hold their value more or less, especially if you get one second-hand, and who knows, you might like it.

If you don't, sell it, get most of your money back, and call it a learning experience.

I hesitate to draw a long list, so I'll make it short; I think all shooters living today should own or have owned a Smith M&P/Model 10 .38 Special, a 1911 .45 and a Glock in basically any caliber.

Those 3 right there form the foundation of all shooting systems extant today, wheelgun or semi-auto.

You left off an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.

Yep - I crossed over. 25 years and nearly as many P220's later, tonight I bought a Glock. Last week, a buddy of mine asked me to ride with him to the LGS to look at a Gen 3 17 he was interested in purchasing. Upon arrival, we learned instead the pistol in inventory was a Gen 3 17L. As his attention reluctantly turned towards a Gen 4, I fondled that 17L - a lot. And I liked it. The longer sight radius, the skeletonized slide, the heft of an extra inch of barrel - exotic. I recall commenting that evening; "If I were going to own only one Glock . . . ". After a week of discussing 9x19mm Glocks of various generations and frame sizes, I couldn't get the image of that big 17L out of my mind. So this evening, credit card and driver's license in hand, I drove to my dealer's shop and brought her home. As soon as I get some acceptable Western PA sunlight, I'll snap some photos - hopefully at the range. I have a bad habit of not shooting a lot of my pistols, however I can't wait to send a few down range with this one.

GLOCK 17L w/ Benchmade 585 Mini-Barrage

That's a lot-o-Glock! I like it!
