Buy a Glock? No I won't...but not for lack of trying. Gen 4 G20's are out there but no luck getting my hands on one so far.

Nothing like the smell of a new Glock in the morning.

Yes, dual RSA marked 0-2-7. Also incorporates the "." connector that lightens the trigger pull to 5.5 lbs (same as the Gen 3). I want!

If copycat "you will buy a" threads weren't already tiresome, I'd be tempted to go for a "You will buy an M14/M1A" thread.

The continuing service life, reliability, utility, ruggedness and other features just seem to fascinate or infuriate.

It really is true that folks who don't care, don't comment, and folks who cry out loudly harbor a secret fetish.

Be who you are, shoot what feels good.

Arc.

My last two P7s are packed and off to the FFL for shipment tonight. While I'm there (for several minutes being without ownership or possession of a 9mm for the first time in decades), I will pick up a new Gen 3 Glock 19.

Thus fulfilling the prophesy. So it was written, so it shall be done.

Especially if we can talk about the Juggernaut Rogue at the same time...love me them bullpups <drool>... Smile

Enough of the thread drift; I spied a sweet G30 SF yesterday down at the LGS, but my cash flow is tied into finishing my AR pistol build. 'Multitasking' the finances just isn't in the cards given this day and age of ours. Shame...would've been a nice add to my Glock corral.

Para, you may beat me with this stick now.

I just put a deposit down on a Gen 4 G30, and they have a G30SF in stock as well, will have to decide between the two with the Gen 4 comes in.

GLOCK - part deux. I was so impressed with the simplicity of my 17L, I went to my LGS this evening and bought a 21 SF. Being somewhat new to Glock, I only recently learned about the "SF" variant. Unlike the "regular" 21, this big boy fit my hand like a glove. Being a .45 guy, it made perfect sense. "And, their coming to take me away, ha ha!" Yes, you will buy a Glock.

PS. After ~100 rounds, my 17L didn't bean me in the biscuit, however a few (very) warm empties landed in the crook of my left arm. This adds a whole new dimension to an amusing anecdote I once heard about a female police officer who had a stray empty land inside the front of her blouse. Ouch.

You guys think Glock will ever eliminate the finger humps and go back to a G1/2 grip of sorts?

I hesitate to draw a long list, so I'll make it short; I think all shooters living today should own or have owned a Smith M&P/Model 10 .38 Special, a 1911 .45 and a Glock in basically any caliber.

That's pretty interesting bux4life1.
I happen to have owned your list at some point .... minus the M&P, which I recently sold to fund my Gen4 19.

So is it worth the extra ~$100 for a compensated/ported version? I was looking at a G19 to be my first glock.
