You seem awfully confused.

Can't help you with that.

Well..... Roll Eyes

I went to Statie HQ to finish processing and get sworn back into the fold. While I was there this week a fellow "rehire" and I went to a police supply store..... Roll Eyes

I tried really hard... Roll Eyes...but I walked out with a Gen4 G26, and some other goodies. Cool

I almost went with the Gen3, though. Even though you could tell a slight difference between the two grips, the Gen3 almost won me over with a more solid hold in the pocket of the hand. In the end I went with the Gen4 thinking that I just wanted to try it out, and I could always add a backstrap to it.

The mag release is a "meh" to me as well. I can see where it may help not to shift the weapon too much to release the mag, so it's a plus for some shooters.

My SN# starts with "SUK"!! Man, I hope that's not a sign of things to come Eek Brass collection was done on May 3rd. However the LGS commando told me that the ejection issues have been fixed. I didn't tell him that I've read different. I didn't want to piss him off, since he was giving us 10% off the little goodies we bought. Of course the G26 was LEO priced.

So, I have "another" G26!!

And Ken you suck ( Razz Big Grin) for getting me thinking about the little guy so much that I had to have one. Cool Big Grin

I went on Glocktalk and asked if people were having problems with new production Gen 4 nines or, guns coming back from Smyrna. So far the answer is coming back no.

I think GT is the definition of fanboy central. I'd take it with a grain of salt what is said over there... Wink

I've owned a Glock, am looking to maybe own Glock again, but I'm not jumping back in just for the Glock of it...

LOL, thats funny man. You didn't ask the counter boy if they had any others you could take a look at, to find another SN#?

Not the same as a Glock.

The P30 also runs about 1000 bucks and mags are not cheap and everywhere, either.

HKs are quality guns....but not in the same category.

This has been a good Glock week for me. I've been assigned to the academy all week to coach our recruit who's shooting. He's shooting very well and I don't anticipate any problems with him qualifying tomorrow.

We bought thirty new Glock 22/23 gen 4's. He's actually the first person to shoot one since our department qual is next month. His gun is running well with a TLR1 attached.

I just bought a Glock 20 upper to slap on my 21SF RTF2. I shot it yesterday on one of our breaks. I think I might have a 10mm addiction after shooting Underwood 165 fmj's at 1400fps! I can see reloading that cartridge in my future.

I hope they will bring out a model in .22 LR. Following their model number progression, it would be a model 40. So you can have a Glock 40 in .22 to go along with your Glock 22 in .40.

I've long thought they might skip over the model designation "40", to avoid confusion.

If you had a collection of one each of every model, caliber and generation they ever made, it would be quite a large one, albeit of basically lookalike guns.

LGS had a few LE G31 trade ins. Don't know where they came from but the specimen I snagged yesterday was in pristine condition with NS. Gotta love the magic of Glocks Smile

I'm intrigued by the G31. Anything that makes 9mm projectiles go faster in a G17-sized package is a good thing. Big Grin

For those looking for a G21 with the RTF2 frame, Glockmeister has them in stock. The only reason I mention this is because I need (actually just want) one REALLY bad. Hopefully all of you will buy them up before my strength fades. I currently own five Glocks but they are all 9mms with two being G19RTF2s. By far the best frame Glock ever made.

Now run along and buy them all..please! BTW, I'm not affiliated with Glockmeister in any way.

Yeah, I've got one of those, and I agree. The 19 RTF2 locks down in my hand and no Glock feels more secure, more "slip-proof" than this pistol.

I've never held one but the RTF2 just LOOKS like it would be the perfect grip. I was hoping to get that grip when I got mine.

Can somebody explain the chronology of grips and what the status of that grip configuration is? Is it a short order feature that might be resurrected? Or was it a marketing flop?

Personally...I wonder whether a nostalgia Gen 1 might sell like hotcakes, original graygreen and all.

Or better yet, a finger humpless RTF2 grip sort of like a Gen 1 configuration.

Just talking out my butt here, sort of thinking out loud.

If you like the gen4, try a gen4 31. Got mine last weekend and I've just put another 500 rounds through it this week. Awesome gun!

Down to less than 7000 rds in stock, going to have to order more at this rate.

them polymids or whatsitcalled do start to hurt a little after an extended shooting session. i'll try shooting with wet hands tomorrow night to see how well it grips.

----
3/4, can't recall the chronology, it's in my book somewhere i think but the RTF2 with the funky gills is definitely out of production and unlikely to return with the advent of the gen4. the grip was considered too sharp and was cutting up shirts and the gills were backwards. they would've worked better if reversed.

----
ok, shoots fine with wet hands and gloved hands. to date, i've put over 1500 rds through the gun and the last 800 without cleaning the gun, so i believe it's ready to go on duty. (i only shot two boxes of JHP through it, the rest were FMJ) stuck my tlr-1 and some ameriglo sights on it and it's in my holster now on duty.
yes, i cleaned and lubed it before taking it on duty.

Bought a used Gen 2 G22 at a local show Sunday.
I'll be buying a stock Glock 31 barrel for it to run 357sig.

The G22 has been done in nickel-boron.
Doesn't look like it has been fired since the refinish.

And it matches my EXO G19... Big Grin

Also, while at the show, I got my G19 trigger guard under cut.
Helps with my grip quite a bit..

Thanks Para..
