Picked up my Gen4 Glock 26 to go along with the Gen 4 19 I got last year. I hav a feeling a 17 is going to be in my near future. DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

That is actually a pretty interesting list, anyone know if there is one of those for USPSA Production Nationals? ________________________________________________________________________________________________

As the title says ' you will buy a Glock'. Well I did. And I can't believe I waited this long. Only had a little time today, but went to the range and shot a box of 50 through it. It is awesome. I traded for this gun, and it had a little work already done on it. 3.5 connector, extended slide lock, Aerotek guide rod, and a T R Graham trigger job. It's a G36. I am already thinking about a G20 next. This may be worse than the Sig addiction. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. If you like 10mm, I'd recommend the G20. I carry a few different pistols, but the G20 is my house and woods pistol.

Glock 22 in .40, gen 4. That's what I will soon purchase. I've tried everything I can think of: Surfing pages of pics of H & K P30L's... The Springfield XP or whatever it's called...ANYTHING... anything but the dreaded Glop. Now I'm pricing them, looking for the best deal. Okay, I give up. Sadly, pathetically, I really want a model 22, gen 4. Must have da Glop. Must have da Glop. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

In Para's favor, I've been carrying my Gen 4 19 a week that I said I would never own againm, and I put some Trijicon GL01's on them today and it's at my side again. Such a lovely workhorse. Waldens of Augusta installed the sights, and didn't use the Glock sight pusher they had, they beat them on with a mallet. They also clamped it in a Meprolight sight pusher and damaged the finish, and beat the Trijicon logo off the right side of the rear sight. Fortunately for them, this is a workhorse beater gun and it didn't bother me a bit, since it's already got some honest holster wear after a week, and it's going to get worse. My sights were not filed or stoned down at all, just oiled and beat into place (lol - so professional), so I am sure they are NOT going to move at least. ------------------------ "...to disarm the people - that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." - George Mason

I'm planning to replace the chintzy slide stop with an extended one, and replacing the stock sights with a set of "flash sights"-- so called-- fast acquisition sights -- like these from AO:www.gunaccessories.com/AOSights/247ProExpress.asp I have been reading some accomplished shooters who praise the sights, especially for close quarters self defense situations. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has used, or is using them. How do you like them? I'd be especially interested to hear from anyone who is using them on a Glock. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

I'm glad it doesn't bug you and I hear what your saying about a workhorse gun but, given how easy it is to do it right, it's a shame that had to happen to you. Enjoy that G19 though, I love mine. --------------------------------------- Life Member NRA “If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. I think that I'm going to get one of the new, FDE Glocks in the near future. I don't know if I want another 22 or maybe a 21SF. To many choices, to many choices. ----------------- "What if... Foolishly traded off my Glock 17 RTF. I want one again but will end up buying a G31 RTF and then getting a G17 upper for it. I love the RTF. All my Glocks now are RTF.This message has been edited. Last edited by: 4859, ----------------------------- Always carry. Never tell.

What's a Glock? Just checked my safe and don't see any. “The more corrupt the State, the more numerous are its laws” – Tacitus

Huh. In addition to Glocks, S&W is also quite dominant in that list. I was pleasantly surprised, as I am quite fond of many S&W products. However, I also see that S&W is a "Premier Sponsor" for IDPA. Is the high number of S&W due to the sponsorship, or legit popularity in the world of competitive shooting? _____________________________ "Tell the American people never to lose their guns. So my friends new Glock 23 Gen 4 40 jammed after around 400 rounds over 2 month period. He was pissed! Now in it's defense he was rapid firing it...My sig 229 Gen has never jammed in the same time period and amount of rounds even if I rapid fired it. webjunky

Well, now you've jinxed yourself. Really though, you ought to know how to clear a jamb with your weapon of choice, because jams happen. Regardless of what it says on the side of the pistol. Frankly, technique makes more of a difference than brand name, or even cleaning regimen. Your pistol may never jam, and will you take the credit, or will you credit Sig. When it does jam, will you take responsibility, or will you blame Sig, the ammo, the lube, the earth wind and fire? Yeah... so about that resisting stuff. (sigh) Little brother, meet big brother! Just fired it this past weekend. Works flawlessly, as to be expected, although I don't care for the NY trigger. I'm going to order a Ghost 3.5 connector and put the factory spring in and that should lighten the pull considerably. I'll probably pick up one of the GLock lights for the rail next weekend. Very satisfied with this purchase. _______________ #COMMUNISTMANBAD
