My LGS plunked a new arrival Gen4 G34 into my hands tonight; cruel guy he indeed is. Really liked it...a LOT. Saving me from filling out a 4473 for yet another Glock is that I shoot .40 far more than 9mm these days and the G35 would be more in tune with where I'm at, even though I already have a G24 to keep me amused. Thankfully for my bank account he didn't have a Gen4 variant in stock.

All of a sudden, I'm wanting a Glock 26 Gen 4 today. Think it would be a great carry option. Am I crazy?

Not at all. If the Gen4 feels better in your hand than the 26 Gen3 then do it. I prefer the G26 gen3, I like the grip better and it fits my hand better. The top ends have not changed so it is merely what feels better. Go buy it!

I have been wanting to give my G19 a sibling for a while now in the form of a G34 but just haven't gotten around to it. I went to my LGS a few weeks ago and saw a Gen4 G34 in the case but let it be, I couldnt decide if I should consider the 3 or the 4. I happened to be in there again late last week and there she was still sitting in the case. Para, I thought of your other thread and knew I had to take her home. After a little friendly haggling with my gun store pals, I did just that.

I have an M&P 9 Pro and as super duper ergonomic as it's supposed to be, when I pick up the Glock it just fits my hand like a glove. I get a nice high and firm grip right away, the sights line right up, the barrel sits low on the frame and it points very naturally for me. Now to find some preban G17 mags... Smile

Here she is, with the latest copy of Recoil magazine:

Honestly... I don't like how they look, I don't like how they feel, and after shooting one I wasn't impressed.

Nope.. said it before, will say it again. No Glock for me.

I am more accurate with my Gen 4 26 than I am my Gen 3 19. Love the grip, don't have any backstrap installed and if i'm not tucking in my shirt, I can usually carry it in my pocket holster quite nicely. It is a little big, but nothing unbearable.

He'll be alright. I'm at 16 years of not owning one and have shot one recently. They are outstanding firearms however.

Block-o-files do get testy don't they and sometimes resort to personal attacks when someone doesn't think the block is all that or doesn't think blocks are from the hand of God........Kind of like folks who voted for Obummer... Roll Eyes.....
New Guy? yea right. Just because I don't post alot on this forum doesn't mean I'm new or new to firearms Arc. I usually just have better things to do. Though today is kind of slow......... Like shoot my SIG's Razz Big Grin Although I will add the G20 is nice and is an affordable 10mm...but I still won't own one. I just don't care for the grip angle on glocks and they are ugly. Sure wish SIG would make a 10mm.......

It might be good to go easy on them. I tend to absolutely detest Glocks, and the 10mm SF made it onto my "sometime soon" list. Think of it as talking garbage about a chick you don't want to sleep with now, but may find next to you the next time you wake up with a hangover.

Why stir the pot? This is an informative, lighthearted thread about a type of gun many members of this forum enjoy.

By the last part of your last post I can tell that you're well on your way to conversion anyway. Why fight it?

So, you haven't read the whole thread.

Really guy, behaving as you have isn't the best way to introduce yourself to the community here. And it's got nothing to do with "blocks."

Some people need to relax. The title of the thread is "you will buy a Glock". It isn't "sigs suck, glocks rule". If you are a pistol enthusiast chances are high you'll buy a Glock in your lifetime.

Anyway for some more propaganda check out the IDPA equipment list for last year.

So to add more fuel to the fire.
