I think my first pistol purchase of the new year will be a Gen 4 Glock 21. Sold my G21SF with pic rail last year in anticipation of the gen 4....love my gen 4 G22. I am thinking of converting to all gen 4's. I like the new grip surface and the magazine release the best.

My most recent G26 Gen4.
Subcompact lovers may find this interesting... As much of an improvement the Gen4 grip is (IMO), I felt the backstrap was still not quite there for me. So I stippled small sections where the web of my hand and the center of my palm contact the grip. Wow, what an improvement.

Been thinking of a G19.

But the new PPQ and upcoming Caracal SC look more interesting.

But you'll never admit it. You'll live a closeted life and die a bitter old man.

It doesn't have to be like that, y'know. Just own up and be free.

With all due respect to our host, No, no I won't. Razz I'll admit I may buy a plastic weapon someday, but it won't be a Glunk.

Well back for my roughly twice a year report. The only Glock that even begins to appeal is the single stack mini (relative term) 45. I'm not only not a Glock person but the .45 is only just another caliber to me. But that ALMOST makes sense. Still no Glock.

Carry a Kahr CW9 everyday with good ammo and have my lovely 239 DAK in case it is needed. No Glock, No need.

Honestly I do not have much bad to say about them. It is kinda fun to call them "Glucks" and some people get excited but it all in fun.

I prefer "Glorp", or sometimes "Glumph".

You guys should really check out a new book that came out called Glock: The Rise of America's Gun, I'm reading it right now. The author wasn't a gun guy, but he did go to the trouble to actually buy a Glock and learn how to shoot from a retired NY State Police firearms instructor or something. It's fairly neutral (politically), it just covers the history of the gun and its development.

A G36 will make you permanently horny, 24/7, just because it is on your hip.
It is THAT good.
Get a G36 and forget about a mistress.

I'm kinda fond of "Glonk".

It has a nice ring to it and is easily pronounced by those with a deviated sceptum. If you live in Queens or Brooklyn, you don't need the deviated sceptum.

I had two 27s in my hand today, one third-gen and one fourth-gen. $540 and $580, respectively, IIRC. The "middle-finger-bite" I didn't like on my brother's G32 is much smoother on the 27.

So far, managing to resist the urge. But it's getting more difficult.

God bless America.
