Agreed - my new and only G34 Gen4 grip does feel like I'm picking up a brick. The only problem is that I shoot it better (draw/fire drills) than my Sigs. People get hung up on the subjective feel of a gun in their hand when just holding it. You've got to shoot the damn thing to find out if it works for you. I also don't like the feel of the P239 compared to my P226, P229 and 1911's. I think it's the flat front strap (say that fast 3 times). Once again, I shoot it as well as the larger guns. I'm not ragging on you personally. My point is that all of us sometimes get trapped by what we have always done and are comfortable with. I have been shooting handguns since 1962 and have gone through a lot of transitions. I have learned that beauty is as beauty does - on the range.

Peace through superior firepower
| reloaderguy, the logical next step would be a G17 or G26. What do you guys think? Should he get a 17 or a 26 to compliment his new G19?
Maybe a G34... |

I could not disagree more. He already has a 9mm Glock. He should go with a 35, 20 or 21. Then go with a 34. |

+1 I would get the 26. The gun is smaller so it can serve as a backup gun or a more concealable pistol if he needs it. Though the Glock 34 is tempting as well. |

| Welcome aboard reloader! I remember when I first got my G19, it was such a moment of clarity! I was suddenly like "So THAT'S what the fuss is about" I'm thinking the G34 next for ya!

+1 on the 34. The 19 is already a great concealed piece so a range/home defence pistol would be the next logical step. |

| Wow, a Gen4 G34 would be sweet.
I really like the G26 idea, but I gotta say, I think he's got the CCW option pretty well covered with his G19.
Oh and reloaderguy, you'll definitely have to opt for the Sevigny variant Warren sights on that G34. I highly recommend them. |
