"Everybody get Trump" has some unintended consequences. It clearly identifies Trump-- to everybody, even those who have not been paying attention-- as the top dog, the guy to beat. That is a big plus. Further, "ganging up" on somebody immediately shifts sympathy away from the gang, and in favor of their target. Trump can be Trump-- he can be rude, even insulting-- but he has to maintain that quality that is uppermost for leaders: equanimity. Balance of mind. He can't "lose it" and start yelling at somebody.

I don't think he will, because he has his favorite guns to go to: sarcasm, rudeness and insult. And his nuclear arsenal: The most powerful message of any candidate.

Illegal immigration over our southern border is now compounded as an issue by the mideast illegal immigration of Europe. There is nothing "immigration" about either one. People are beginning to recognize it for what it is: Invasion. When those from other countries simply pour over your border, you are being invaded.

He just needs to keep his cool.

He needs Samuel L. Jackson with him backstage right before air time:

"WHAT'S FONZI LIKE, DON?!! WHAT'S FONZI LIKE?!!"

Trump: umm...cool?

"THAT'S RIGHT, DON!! FONZI IS COOL!! AND WE'RE GONNA BE LIKE FONZI, RIGHT, DON?!!

POINT THE MICROPHONE AT ME, DON!! POINT IT AT ME!! THAT'S IT!!

^^^^^^^^ Big Grin

I'm nervous....hell, it almost feels like that jittery sensation right before kick off when the Colts are about to start their first playoff game in New England. Its gone bad so many times...Just like the Colts, Trump and Cruz are at a VERY unfriendly venue and about to face a unscrupulous foe who will do damn near anything to win. Big Grin

I want both Cruz and Trump to do well tonight.

I just hope he has a team of highly paid non-political experts behind the scene formulating plans to carry out all his promises.

stupid questions:
1) why is the bastion of liberalism CNN hosting a Republican candidacy debate? Why not Fox?

2) is this only on CNN (I don't get cable channels)? Not visible through the primary networks?

The only thing I'm interested in is a Frank Luntz focus group on Fox.

If they would start selling a combo deal of a Trump hair wig and rope hat it would be a hit. Imagine a sea of Donald Trump hair at all the rallies.

Where I come from, we call this a cap, a hat, or a ball cap. What's the "rope" part?

Is the debate really 3 hours long? CNN has it listed as going to eleven. That is more like a Kevin Costner movie.

The piece above the bill, just the term used in the description. They have regular ball caps as well.
