I see that Judicial Watch got a court order today, and now Clinton will have 30 days to respond under oath, in writing, to their written questions.

If they get the questions right, and get them in quickly, some pretty damning answers could be public before the election.

If she stalls, what's the penalty for disobeying a judicial order?

If the charity does such good work and there was no influence peddling:

1. With Hillary as president, why does the money giving need to stop to the foundation, regardless of source?

2. If it's a bad idea to be accepting money as the president, why is it OK to accept it as the Secretary of State?

Can she take the 5th on every question or simply say it's a matter of national security and refuse to answer? Or do the "I don't recall" ruse

It depends. She isn't a party. I believe the State Department is. She may have to pay the costs incurred in getting the answers. If she was a party, she might risk having her pleadings struck and a judgment entered against her. If she utterly fails to respond at all, she might face jail for contempt, but I doubt she would want to risk that now.

I expect the lawyers will craft carefully worded responses, like a bikini, revealing only as much as necessary but concealing the best parts. These will say as little as possible and be delivered as late as possible, maybe after some challenges to the form of the questions, delay, delay, delay.

IIRC, JW was hopeful of taking her deposition, so apparently her lawyers were able to convince the court to try this less onerous step.

If she becomes President-elect, the pressure to drop the whole idea will increase exponentially.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

REVEALED: Huma Abedin was working as ASSISTANT EDITOR at her mother's radical Muslim journal when it blamed America for 9/11 terror attacks

Human Abedin worked at Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs until 2008

She was the assistant editor under her mother Saleha Mahmood Abedin

In 2002 journal published an article blaming US for the 9/11 attacks

Author wrote America's 'sanctions and injustices' imposed on Muslim countries had created a ticking 'time bomb'

That bomb 'had to explode and explode it did on September 11'

Earlier articles appeared to claim that women who wore revealing clothes were inviting rape

Raises family ties to Institute of Minority Muslim Affairs, a think tank

Suggests link to Muslim Brotherhood but offers no direct evidence

Abedin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and worked for Hillary in the White House, the Senate, and the State Department

I have to keep wondering if our judicial system is really this screwed up. 30 days? How about NLT 72 hours? Just more tame judges providing cover for the hildabeast and her cronies.

Like all those "testimonies" requested by congressional committees, or some gubbermint agency. Give them months to respond, and when they do it is usually an excuse why they cannot.

Or, why did the idiot judge give the hildabeast MONTHS to turn over the emails?

Is our federal gubbermint so screwed up, or do the klintonistas have so much dirt on all of them.

Nothing particularly different about this. Papers to be prepared and filed ordinarily allow time to do so. Sometimes the time is shorter but 30 days to respond isn't abnormal.

I don't think the questions have been prepared yet. JW was asking for a deposition, but Clinton's team convinced the judge that written questions and answers would be accomplish the purpose.

Very good, Colin. You turned out to be useful for something after all:

When asked why Clinton’s team were attempting to blame him, he responded, “Why do you think?”

I wonder why the Clinton team thought Powell would go for the blame.

Well, well, well, 15K more emails just discovered that weren't released by State.

Where will it end? One place it WILL NOT end, Hillary in jail.

I guess I'm crazy after so many disappointments over the decades, but I just can't seem to stop hoping, " Maybe this time."

So, I've been thinking about the pardon of Nixon by Ford. IIRC, Ford pardoned Nixon after Nixon resigned in the absence of any formal indictment or charges (lawyers step in). I'm certain that a deal was struck.

So, I assume that Obama is ready to pardon Hillary in similar fashion if it comes to that. Regardless of whether it happens before or after the election, it would be unprecedented.

Nixon's pardon carried with it the assumption of guilt. In the case of old Hil, the idiots who vote for her would take a pardon as a statement of innocence.
