Israel's population is about 10 million and less than 600,000 guns in private ownership. Many of those guns are likely not best suited for insurgent defense.

If Israel actually wants to arm the entire adult population (7,000,000) with private firearms, that would require about 6,000,000 firearms. The entire US production of all guns was only 13,000,000 in 2021. So where to find that many guns in a short time frame is a real problem. A few thousand distributed here or there don't hurt, but honestly probably don't change the dynamics much.

But in the short run is it necessary? 10-7 was a sneak attack. It is unlikely Israel will be caught unaware any time soon from any direction. But you can't stay on heightened alert perpetually. It simply is not human nature. So perhaps universal armament should be considered as a long term goal. In addition to the financial cost of that many guns, Israel would need to recognize that there will probably be an increase in gun crime and even random shootings. Is it worth it to stop another 10-7? I think so, but I'm one of those gun crazy Americans.

Now Taiwan is another matter entirely. They have a population of 25,000,000 and virtually zero private firearms ownership. If Taipei wanted a fully armed populace to ward off their mainland brethren, they are probably shit out of luck. Even if they could manage the sourcing and logistics, attempting such a project would doubtless trigger an invasion. Then again it seems likely that Xi may soon try to take advantage of a weak Biden and an over-extended United States anyway.

Something to bear in mind. I'm not absolute expert on this but it seems that Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO, ISIS, etc rarely strike the same way twice.

It pretty evident that the ground operation into Gaza City will make Fallujah and Stalingrad look like a girl scout picnic. I hope the IDF is well set up for urban CQB.

IDF says it killed Hamas Commander who 'directed' October 7 attacks against Israel

Last Update October 31, 2023 04:23am ET

The Israeli Defense Forces and Israeli Securities Authority said troops killed Nasim Abu Ajina, the Hamas commander who they say directed the Oct. 7 attack against Israel.

"Yesterday, based on IDF and ISA intelligence, IDF fighter jets struck the Commander of the Beit Lahia Battalion of Hamas' Northern Brigade, Nasim Abu Ajina, who directed the massacre on October 7th in the Kibbutz Erez and Moshav Netiv HaAsara," the IDF and ISA said in a joint statement. "In the past, Abu Ajina commanded Hamas' Aerial Array, and took part in the development of the UAVs and paragliders of the terrorist organization."

"His elimination significantly harms the efforts of the Hamas terrorist organization to disrupt the IDF's ground activities," the statement added.

More than 9,400 people have been killed in Gaza and Israel since Hamas launched its largest attack against Israel in decades on Oct. 7, leading to retaliatory action from Israeli forces. Thousands more have been wounded, and many others have been taken hostage by Hamas and raped, tortured and murdered.

Over two million died in the battle of Stalingrad. That's every last living being in Gaza.

I would guess that Israel has had plans in place for just about any attack on them, from any direction; and their response to such attacks for years.

Except you can't plan for actions or reactions from Iran of from the Biden (mis)administration.

Iran is the most insane and dangerous player, and Biden, along with his puppeteers, have made almost every wrong decision possible (or made every right decision if they are intentionally trying to destroy this country).

Iran is deadly serious about wiping Israel and the Jews off the planet, their words are not BS, they are telling the world what they want to do.

Biden is busy falling up stairs, falling asleep, falling at the podium, falling over himself to please everyone including the amazingly treasonous squad/quartet, and falling in ratings. The only thing climbing is his age and dementia.

Because I’ve been so outraged about what Hamas and even average so called Palestinians did to defenseless women and children I couldn’t put my finger on the proper general term to describe it. Some have said it was barbarism, savagery or animalistic. While those terms are severe, they just don’t adequately describe the evil committed. This morning while listening to testimony of what IDF soldiers saw, it occurred to me. The acts were satanic. From my perspective there is one source of evil though committed by many. I think I understand satan’s plan is and it always boils down to lost liberty, lost life, lost potential and the horrific sacrifice of the innocent and helpless. Some may argue that we worship the same God differently. I don’t believe that. I think satan has placed himself to influence evil to the willing and they begin worshiping a false substitute god. By their fruits ye shall know them.

Virginia Attorney General Opens Investigation Into Radical American Muslims for Palestine Nonprofit

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares announced on Tuesday that his office’s Consumer Protection Section has opened an investigation into the Hamas-linked American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) for potential violations of the state’s charitable solicitation laws.

“The Attorney General’s Office has reason to believe that the organization may be soliciting contributions in the Commonwealth without first having registered with the Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Agriculture,” Miyares said in a statement. “In addition, the Attorney General will investigate allegations that the organization may have used funds raised for impermissible purposes under state law, including benefitting or providing support to terrorist organizations.”

Miyares said that under Virginia law, his office “has the jurisdiction to investigate possible violations of the state’s charitable solicitation law.”

American Muslims for Palestine is a public nonprofit established by UC Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian in 2005, with a headquarters located in Falls Church, Virginia.

In recent weeks, AMP has been a major force behind the massive pro-Hamas protests across the country.

Over the years, the group has reportedly been a major promoter of the Hamas-inspired Boycott, Divestment, & Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Jonathan Schanzer of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) testified in a 2016 Joint Hearing before House Foreign Affairs Committee that “AMP is arguably the most important sponsor and organizer for Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), which is the most visible arm of the BDS campaign on campuses in the United States.”

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) says AMP “is the leading organization providing anti-Zionist training and education to students and Muslim community organizations in the country,” and “has at times provided a platform for anti-Semitism.”

According to Discover the Networks, “several of AMP’s leading board members and officials were formerly members and/or supporters of Islamic extremist groups that promoted and funded the agendas of Hamas.”

An investigative report in April 2016 found that “seven current AMP officials and/or affiliates were former members of groups that had been shut down or held civilly liable by the U.S. government for funneling money to Hamas,” Discover the Networks reported.

According to the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), AMP, along with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim American Society (MAS), have roots in the Muslim Brotherhood, and was established to advance Hamas’s agendas in the U.S.

Counterterrorism expert Kyle Shideler, a Senior Analyst for Homeland Security at the Center For Security Policy cheered Miyares’ decision to investigate the group on X.

“Yes! State leaders you are not powerless,” Shideler, wrote. “You do not have to sit back and ignore terror sponsors just because the feds do nothing.” https://t.co/0DqvJ7tNXq

Ephesians 6:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This explains pretty much every problem in the world today. Gender confusion (our pastor made a comment a couple Sundays ago that the alphabet crowd has their 'coming out' thing as a cheap imitation of the Christian born again experience). Evolution is the religion / dogma of the God-hating crowd. Communism/socialism places the state above the individual, as a means to revoke our God-given rights and let evil people rule us.

President Trump threw off satan's timeline - Trump was NOT 'supposed' to win, hence all the democrats losing their frickin' minds over his entire presidency. Despite all the good he did in office, covid kicked in and a) destroyed our economy, b) placed even MORE of our lives under govt control (mandatory vaccinations, etc), c) enabled mass mail-in and other voting cheating by the dems, which resulted in d) a stolen election and for all practical purposes, a coup against the Trump administration and placing the potato (whoever is REALLY in charge behind the scenes, that is) in the White House.

With Trump in office, who knows where we would be now. . . Under biden, Russia invaded Ukraine, we handed over A-stan to the taliban, Iran is richer, stronger, and more emboldened, and this hamas mess.

Israel is STILL God's chosen people, and satan STILL hates them with a passion. I believe all anti-semitism is based on a satanic hatred of God and His chosen.

The good news is, we win in the end. The bad news is, there is a WHOLE lot of evil that we will have to endure before then.

Great post, and my take on things as well. If you believe in what the Bible says it's not to surprising things are the way they are.
