Israel’s military carried out dozens of airstrikes on Hamas targets late Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said.

CNN’s Nic Robertson reported from Sderot, near the Gaza Strip, that Sunday’s strikes have been the most sustained bombardment of northern Gaza he has seen since he began to report from southern Israel two weeks ago.

-----------------------------------------

A senior Israeli official tells CNN there will be “no ceasefire” in Gaza amid US and Qatari efforts to free more than 200 hostages held there by Hamas.

The official was “not aware” of US calls for a delay to the Gaza ground operation and said both Israel and the US want all the hostages released “as quickly as possible,” they told CNN's Matthew Chance.

But, the official added, “humanitarian efforts cannot be allowed to impact the mission to dismantle Hamas,” they added.

Israel agreed to a US request to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, “although that was not popular in Israel,” the official said.

Major General (Reserve) in the Israeli Army, and former ombudsman for the occupation forces, Yitzhak Brick, has sounded an alarm over the growing inefficacy of the country's army to win a possible war.

Warning that the Israeli occupation forces have turned into an "air force army," Brick criticized the leadership in Tel Aviv for their "sensitivity" towards human losses on the ground.

"Whoever wants to completely avoid losing on the battlefield, completely loses the deterrence of the army and the ability to win the war. This way of thinking and managing the security echelons will eventually lead to much heavier losses in the war," the former official said in a column published on 10 May by Channel 12.

Brick went on to add that Israel's land army and reserve system have been continuously ignored: "We lost the inter-arm combat capability and became a one-dimensional Air Force army that alone could not win a war."

He goes on to highlight that the occupation forces in general, and the land army in particular, "are not ready for war."

The warning comes on the heels of a number of polls showing that a large portion of Israeli citizens have lost faith in the future of their nation.

A poll published by the Pnima Movement at the start of the month showed that 40 percent of Israelis were not optimistic about the country’s future. It also showed that 33 percent of Israeli youth are seriously considering emigrating out of the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, at least 75 percent of Israeli Arabs believe Jews have no right to sovereignty in occupied Palestine, according to a survey by Habithonistim–Protectors of Israel published on 9 May.

In an article published in Yedioth Ahronoth on 7 May, former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak expressed fears of the imminent demise of Israel before the 80th anniversary of its founding.

“Throughout Jewish history, the Jews did not rule for more than eighty years, except in the two kingdoms of David and the Hasmonean dynasty, and in both periods, their disintegration began in the eighth decade,” Barak said.

Earlier this year, former Air Force chief Amikam Norkin said Israel no longer enjoys superiority and freedom over the skies of Lebanon, highlighting that this reality was apparent to the Israeli military establishment after Hezbollah began manufacturing its own drones.

In the weeks after this statement by the Israeli official, Iran notified Tel Aviv that the army of the Islamic Republic has missiles pointed at all of their nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons sites.

Brick warned that the Israel Defense Forces have turned into a primarily air-based military, and criticized the army leadership for its sensitivity to human losses on the ground. “The current situation of the land forces is tragic, they are not ready for war. Emergency supplies are not available, exercises have stopped and the battalions have not trained in years. There is also no weapons training and education, and the army is not capable of carrying out an attack.” The former ombudsman added that technology alone is not enough to win wars. “The truth is that an imaginary reality has been created by the general staff and spread throughout the army. The soldiers have lost their motivation and fighting spirit in recent years, and many are not ready to go into battle.”

Boston, MA - a woman at an upscale shopping center in Chestnut Hill was spotted removing posters of Israeli children kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

UPDATE: this woman has been identified as Dr. Zena Al-Adeeb, an endodontist.

Her employer has announced she has been fired effective October 21st.

https://twitter.com/StopAntise...r-employment-n586788

In unrelated incidents, dentists in Miami and in Boston have been fired for tearing down posters of Israelis kidnapped by Hamas in Gaza.

Dr. Zena Al Adeeb, Endodontist has been relieved of her position at a dental office in Brookline MA. This after video circulated on social media of the dentist tearing down the posters of missing Israelis who have been kidnapped by Hamas, the terror organization that runs the Gaza Strip.

After video posted to social media showed Zena Al Adeeb ripping down posters of missing Israelis kidnapped by Hamas, she was condemned for anti semitism on social media.

Reportedly, a dentist in Florida also lost his job after ripping down similar posters. "Miami dentist Ahmed Elkoussa has been fired after he unknowingly went viral for ripping down posters of kidnapped Israelis,” tweeted Colin Rugg. "The incident happened on Tuesday & by Wednesday he was fired from his job. In a blistering statement, CG Smile blasted Elkoussa for being a terrorist supporter. "We are very sad to see this situation upon waking up. Our office CG Smile is not in favor of any of the actions taken by Dr. Elkoussa. We do not support terrorist groups, actions or supporters."

"He has been removed from our staff, all of our social media pages and groups. CG Smile DOES NOT support terrorist groups actions or supporters.”

Marc L Nevins, DMD posted the following statement on his dental practice’s website:

"Acts of terror against the State of Israel and innocent people must be condemned. Acts of antisemitism, racism, and bigotry that assault members of our community based on their heritage or beliefs cannot be tolerated and must equally be condemned. No healthcare service institution or clinical practice should permit activities that by word or deed create the deep hurt that threatens our community and our healing."

"It has come to our attention that a clinician working as an adjunct member of our clinical practice has been accused of taking actions that are contrary to our community standards and to the basic values of my clinical practice. After having reviewed the facts and circumstances, the individual no longer works with our practice effective October 21, 2023."

Gotta hand it to the Israelis. If they an continue to surgically delete Hamas from the population, they are better people than I am. In my anger I advocated for napalming the territory with a window for innocents to escape. I see now that innocents would not be allowed to escape. The Israelis respect life enough to protect it where possible. I would have caused a shameful amount of collateral damage unnecessarily. It's an existential conflict but Israel's precision is admirable and I am grateful for it. Good thing I have zero political power.

Well, if you don't know, it wouldn't do any good to explain it to you. Oh, just a trivia question. Yes, I see. A smiling Hitler pic- it really captures the man, wouldn't you say? And how appropriate a trivia question, at a time when the antisemites of the world are having a kegger.

^^^^ if I ever had even the slightest hesitation over any aggressive level of Israeli response, it just evaporated.

No one, in any way, for any reason, under any circumstances, can condone or support what Hamas did and what that site shows. Anyone who does has something seriously wrong with them and should be taken immediately to the sites where this happened and made to see this in person.

It’s clear to me that the world governments at large are turning their collective back on Israel. Everyone is clutching their pearls over the “humanitarian crisis” in Gaza but has not spent a lot of time talking about the kidnapped people held as hostages beyond a mention here and there. Every civilized nation should be DEMANDING Hamas release them immediately. I wonder if they would, had their children, young women, and elderly been among the victims?

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.
