Lastmanstanding makes a solid point.

All the liars should now be praying that Kavanaugh is confirmed.

If he is not confirmed they will surely be facing some pretty solid felony perjury charges.

Maybe I’m confused, but wouldn't he still be a federal judge?

The other possibility is if he isn’t confirmed and it costs the DemonRats senate seats, what keeps PDJT from bringing him back for Ruthie’s seat when he has a stronger Senate majority? There would be some solid poetic justice in that...

This is positive

Here is Jeff Flake in a short interview today.

He sounds quite reasonable. (compared to what I thought he might say)

He says the focus of the extended review was to verify that the people who Ford identified as present at the party - really did confirm they had no recollection. He wasn't concerned that the FBI didn't interview Ford.

Flake may be a tea leaf that everyone would like to read, but I'm beginning to consider just ignoring him until the vote is happening on the Senate floor. The boy just bounces around without saying anything of substance, and the last thing he'll say that I'll ever care about is either "Aye" or "Nay" at Kavanaugh's confirmation vote.

The Democrats have said he should not be sitting on the seat he holds now in the DC appellate court. They want him gone but they do so at their own risk. Also if Kavanuagh willingly gives it up to say he is going into private practice which he may all the rats would know a force feeding of D-Con is coming.

It would be nice to see it play out that way but I feel he will be confirmed. We may not give a shit about the polls but the politicians live by them and right now it don't look good for the red state dems.

I want to see all those red state dems vote for Kavanaugh to save their political ass and then get booted out on it by the voters anyhow!

I initially thought I wanted all the Rs to vote for him, all the Ds to vote against him, him to get confirmed, and the Ds to get tossed out.

Then I realized I don’t care how anybody votes as long as he gets confirmed and the maximum number of Ds gets tossed out. Smile

That would be interesting. Apparently the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh to the DC Circuit on a 57-36 vote in 2006, and no one in the Senate ever called for his being removed from the DC Circuit before he was nominated to the Supreme Court.

You guys are kidding, right? The Dem's don't give a damn about Kavanaugh beyond his confirmation to SCOTUS being blocked. As far as they're concerned, he can go back to the federal courts for the rest of his life, so long as 'they' own the highest court in the land. Its all about the pursuit of power and control. Nothing more.

I don't know that that's true. The DC Circuit seems to have come up for more of a share of Dem condemnation for "conservative" decisions than one would expect. The Republicans have certainly focused on appointments to that Circuit since the Bush days.

That was then. This is now.

When they get the gavels, what would stop them from investigating every GOP nominated Federal judge in the country? Give ‘em the boot when they find someone to make up a good story of sordid misbehavior, like this one.

Ordinary morals, decency, truth and justice don’t seem to carry much weight with those guys now.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Well, they caught the piece of shit that did the doxxing last week. He works for Sheila Jackson Lee. Shocking, I know. I hope they fry the fucker!

Democratic staffer arrested in doxxing of GOP senators during Kavanaugh hearing

A Democratic congressional staffer was arrested Wednesday and accused of posting the personal information of at least one Republican senator during last week's hearing about sexual assault claims against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, authorities said.

U.S. Capitol Police said 27-year-old Jackson Cosko was charged with making public restricted personal information, witness tampering, threats in interstate communication, unauthorized access of a government computer, identity theft, second-degree burglary and unlawful entry. Police added that the investigation was continuing and more charges could be filed.

Senior congressional sources tell Fox News that Cosko most recently worked as a staffer for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas. He also had worked with Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., and former Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer of California. A LinkedIn page with Cosko's name on it describes him as a "Democratic Political Professional & Cybersecurity Graduate Student."

Sen. Graham on scrutinizing handling of Kavanaugh hearingVideo
Personal information of Sens. Lindsey Graham, Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch was posted on their respective Wikipedia pages as the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned Kavanaugh over allegations that he assaulted Christine Blasey Ford at a high school party in the early 1980s. All three have professed their belief that Kavanaugh is innocent of the claims brought against him by Ford, with Graham telling the federal judge "you've got nothing to apologize for" amid a fiery rant denouncing Democrats' handling of the claims.

The intentional publication of the information was first caught by a Twitter bot that automatically tracks any changes made to Wikipedia entries from anyone located in the U.S. Congress and publicizes them on the social media site. The bot account later deleted the tweets because the edits contained personal information. According to the bot, whoever posted the information did so from a computer in the House of Representatives.

The home addresses of the senators appeared to be correct, thought the phone numbers didn't appear to be entirely accurate. A “home” phone number listed for Graham appeared to direct callers to the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL), a Washington D.C.-based advocacy group.

So what? The Dem's know that a liberal SCOTUS can overturn anything the lower courts rule on. Power comes with the four branches of government. Didn't know there were four? Well the SCOTUS has been turned into a pseudo ruling body by the GDC's. And if they could get an unbeatable majority on the court to work with the un-American. socialist, filth in congress, that would be game over.

To be fair, the SCOTUS and the federal agencies have been turned into legislating bodies or something like that by Congress. Got a controversy? Make a judge or a beaurocrat make a decision.

Do we need to change that for a variety of reasons? Certainly.

More to the point, though, control of the Circuit courts is control over what cases make it to the Supreme Court. At the same time, "friendly" judges on appeals courts can make the calls that Dems like in those cases that never reach the Supreme Court (for various reasons). If the Dems are going after Federal judges, the DC Circuit is a logical hunting ground for them.

Has all of the media jammed their cameras in Jackson-Lee's face and started grilling her on this issue? I won't hold my breath.
