Garth's sister is gay and he's been supportive of her for many years. That's never been a secret.

I have found that it’s reasonable to hold the belief that a gay relative can live their life and enjoy all of the freedoms and protections this nation has to offer, without attempting to paint the world gay.

Said gay relative also wants to be left the F alone, off everyone’s gaydar, and hates how the left has turned everything into instant political issues.

Lost track of this thread so not sure if this was posted already.

If you like Modelo and or Corona, it's okay, you can drink it. back in 2013, the DOJ got in the way of the Modello sale and InBev was not alloed to sell those products in the US. Therefore, Constellation Brands purchased the brewing rights for Modelo and Carona.

Whew... I can drink Modelo Negra again..

I see. Because he has a gay family member, it was necessary for him to insult people who've supported his lavish lifestyle by calling them assholes?

That is not the reason he said this. He could have found a dozen different and far more tactful ways to express support for his sibling and/or the "gay community". I've never paid much attention to him, but he sounds like a genuine jerk. That is the reason he said what he said. He went out of his way to insult people who've bought his music, paid to see his concerts, etc.

I have not been to a Red Sox game in years.

Boston is one of the highest alcohol consuming cities in the country.

The beer lines at the game are usually at least a 10 to 20 minute wait in line.

I have been told and seen videos that there is no line, and no sales at the bud light stand.

Of course, they also sell Sam Adams or did, so why would anyone drink that swill anyway.

Anheuser-Busch InBev, was here at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity—a lavish annual gathering in the south of France, often called the Oscars of the ad industry—collecting one of the event’s highest honors: Creative Marketer of the Year.

In the wake of that controversy, across the Atlantic on Monday, AB InBev’s global chief marketing officer, Marcel Marcondes, took to the Cannes Lions’ main stage to give the event’s opening seminar.

“In times like this, when things get divisive and controversial so easily, I think it’s an important wake-up call to all of us marketers, for us to be very humble,” Marcondes said.

Bud Light sales take steepest hit yet

quote:
Bud Light suffered its worst weekly sales drop since the nation’s No. 1 beer brand launched an ill-fated marketing tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

For the week ending June 10, Bud Light sales dropped by a whopping 26.8%, according to the latest data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ.

That’s wider than the 24.4% drop seen during the prior week — and topped the all-time previous worst plunge of 25.7% during the week ended May 20 — since the beer giant got into bed with Mulvaney on April 1.

Anheuser-Busch’s other brands also took a step backward for the week ended June 10, according to the data. Sales of Budweiser were down 10% compared to a 7.8% decline the previous week, while Natural Light was down 2.3% vs. a 1% decline. Michelob Ultra – the nation’s No. 3 beer — was down 2.4%.

“This was a tough week for Bud Light and other beer brands” owned by Anheuser-Busch, said Bump Williams, head of the eponymous consulting firm.

The calls for a boycott from conservative corners of the country over the Mulvaney campaign has cost the Belgian-based beer company more than $20 billion.

The nation’s No. 2 beer, Modelo Especial, meanwhile saw a 5.7% increase versus a year earlier in the most recent week.

In the previous week, it had seen a 12.2% bump from a year earlier.

Still, Bud Light remains the No. 1 beer brand and has a “several hundred million-dollar advantage” over Modelo Especial on a year-to-date basis, Williams said.

Modelo has been outselling its rival on a weekly basis since May, the data shows, but for Bud Light to be unseated it would require the declines to continue and Modelo’s increases to continue through the end of the year.

Williams predicts that it’s “unlikely” Modelo will become America’s No. 1 brand on a 52-week basis.

“In some instances, the trends for a particular brand may be healthy in some local areas across the country and worse in others,” Williams explained.

Though what had started out as a backlash against Bud Light and its sister brands in mostly red states has shifted to blue states, beer experts have noted.

A few days ago I went to the local supermarket then Walmart. Both moved their Bud Light to a lower traffic area where it was fully stacked. If it's true about blue states getting on the boycott bandwagon then AB can expect more pain as sales are declining even further.

Gay bar boycotts Bud Light after Anheuser-Busch ‘abandoned’ queer community in Dylan Mulvaney fiasco

By Hannah Grossman, Fox News

A Minneapolis gay bar is reportedly dumping Bud Light beer, and Anheuser-Busch beverages citing a lack of “integrity” from the company, according to a local report.

Minneapolis gay bar The Saloon is replacing Anheuser-Busch with local breweries because of the way the beer giant handled the backlash over influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Star Tribune reported Monday.

“Anheuser-Busch had an opportunity to support a marginalized community in a way that few other corporations have attempted, but they abandoned that direction. We view that as unacceptable,” Saloon owner John Moore said.

“I’m so protective of doing business with people who have integrity and don’t get into an anti-queer agenda,” the bar owner added.

Seriously, that price sucks for such horrible beer. They could command it before solely because of their brand. Those days are over.

Here's how you failed, Bud Light.

You totally dismissed how men, especially southern men, interact with one another. Or maybe you didn't know, which is just as bad. So let me explain how Bud Light is now seen in the eyes of biological men.

Imagine a group of men gathered together and drinking beer. One of them pops the top on a Bud Light. The rest of the gang sees the Bud Light in their buddy's hand. The group immediately jumps on the trash-talking train by saying things like "I didn't know you were trans. Where do you buy your dresses? Your makeup needs to be refreshed. That lipstick color looks like [shit] ." The ridicule would be nonstop, but in good fun, of course because they are friends. It would be, however, a fair warning to all other buddies not to ever be caught with a Bud Light or the same endless trash talk will be piled upon you.

Bottom line, Bud Light. You don't need a fancy masters degree in corporate marketing to understand human interaction. All you need is common sense and knowledge of your customers. But because you ignored your customer base, you will likely feel the repercussions for quite a long time. Men don't quickly forget.
