As much as men express their hate for the woke movement, the companies that are pushing it or associating with it are generally selling to women.

Because of their TG support, the TG community isn't going to suddenly run out and buy Bud Light. Sales aren't going to be reversed because of the association. TG people drink things other than Bud.

Maybelline primarily markets to women and I'm not sure that the vast majority of women are visibly upset by the new association. Not they don't like it but it's not a game changer for them.

Same with Nike.

Moving to TG sports where OEM women and losing events and matches to TG males, we're all disgusted by it but until women stick up for women's rights, it won't stop.

Women have to stand up and tell legislators and companies their hard work is being marginalized by these TG men and scholarships and opportunities are being taken away. Women need to stand up for women.

The point had been made before: Where are the feminists? Why aren't we hearing and seeing them vociferously defending womens' rights?

Coopted under the "big tent" of leftist politics, they've tried to gobble up every group that isn't straight white men. Men can choose to change that currency in for a free pass to do whatever, as long as they pop some estrogen pills and change their clothes. Having done so, they're either in a blind spot to feminists, or it's that the Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF) label is effective in shutting them up, or it's both. It doesn't matter as much as smashing the patriarchy, and further, may even be viewed as progress to that end.

The ones that have been speaking out have been harassed and even received death threats. Author J.K. Rowling is the most prominent example, having received enough death threats "to wallpaper her house with", and basically ostracized from the Harry Potter universe she created. Swimmer Riley Gaines is a recent example, attacked in San Francisco. Tennis great Martina Navratilova was dragged through the mud when she said transgenders in women sports were cheats, eventually forced to apologize.

It is ironic, this whole tranny nutjob bullshit is basically a true War on Women agenda by the left. Democrats are not only racists, but anti-women as well by supporting the tranny movement.

Yes, they still brew PBR. Not as large a distribution in some markets though. Pabst also brews Hamm's, National Bohemian (a Baltimore favorite), Old Style, and own the names for Olympia, Rainier and a few others IIRC. Some new generation website rated Pabst as #1 of the old school beers (much higher than the AB products being discussed).

I think there are 2 answers because there are 2 groupings of feminism.

There are the radical man haters. They see everything through the lens of masculinity is evil. I suspect many of these women are mentally ill from being abused. Or they are just brainless radicals who have grabbed onto this mission.

These radicals hate masculinity, but trans are not masculine. They are not a physical threat to women. That is the only criterion. These are the vocal feminists today. They see us as an enemy to be destroyed. We oppose the radical trans agenda. The enemy of their enemy is their friend.

The second group is the one that believes there is systemic sexism and they identify as Democrat. They want equality. They don't hate men, but they oppose the Good 'Ol Boys Club. They aren't all that politically aware any more than the average American. They mostly don't get it yet, so they aren't yet speaking out in a way we would see.

Bar loses customers after warning patrons it will ‘not tolerate intolerance’ among guests about Bud Light

You pinhead. You "will not tolerate intolerance"? That is intolerance, genius.

Oh, and "have a conversation". Uh huh, but those who disagree must "remain silent." Yet another clueless leftist shoots themself in the foot. "Have a conversation" is the most meaningless phrase thrown around these days. It means absolutely nothing.

quote:
...one venue in Bloomington, Indiana has made headlines with a contradictory message calling for "open conversations" about the subject, yet demanding those who disagree to "leave" their establishment.

"We are tired of all of the hate. We are very open to debate and discussion and it’s truly a shame that we can’t have open conversations about this important political and cultural topic. Bars, in our opinion, exist as public spaces where ideas should be exchanged," The Fairfax Bar and Grill wrote in a Facebook post. "Unfortunately due to all of the bigotry and hatred that has surfaced around the Bud Light controversy any patron wanting to voice their concerns about the issue will be immediately asked to pay their bill and leave our establishment."

The post was shared alongside an image of a similar statement saying the establishment welcomes "ALL people," but warns that those who are "intolerant" should be silent about their beliefs.

"We are all aware of the controversy surrounding Bud Light. We support ALL people in this establishment no matter who you are of how you identify. We will continue to sell Anheiser [sic] Busch products because we don’t care who they make special cans for," the statement said. "If you are intolerant of other humans of any kind, we ask that you keep your opinions to yourself. Should you feel the need to discuss this matter in public you will be asked to leave. We will not tolerate intolerance here."

...

On Wednesday, the bar's Facebook page released a follow-up statement on the backlash it has received.

"While the response here has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive, it's time to reiterate why we took a stand against hate speech. In the last two weeks since sharing a post stating that we will not tolerate intolerance, our social media has been flooded with blatantly transphobic, homophobic and racist comments," the bar's social media declared. "We are all inclusive and welcome all kindhearted customers. After making that post, the comments on every post since include hate speech saying that transgender people are mentally ill, biological women are being erased, and showing a plethora of disgusting memes." It later warned, "Hate has no place at The Fairfax."

The bar then claimed that it needs more patrons to replace the clientele it has lost.

"Thank you to all of you for supporting our establishment. With the departure of some of our regulars, we have needed new clientele, and you have answered. I'm not gonna lie, we still need more of you right now," the page said. "Please continue to consider supporting us. It's gonna be a great year of friendship, food, drinks and live music!"
Listen, if you like to dress up and feel pretty, just say so. Razz

There is the quote for 2023.

We will not tolerate intolerance!!

I swear this gets more weird every day.

I will say that the owners of that part ran face first into that disaster, yet also managed in their follow up statement to say they hate anyone who exercises free speech. Beauty move there.

Uh huh. It might actually work, for a little while. The press you are getting might bring in a few new people.
BUT, if you've lost your regulars, you're in trouble.
You could have just said, "Hey, I'll serve a beer to anyone... and I'll continue to serve Bud Light" and left it at that. You wouldn't have lost a single customer.

This ^^^^^

This is kind of fascinating:
quote:

"We were just dealing with a lot of hate speech, and people being uncomfortable. My bartenders were aggravated and we had customers that were leaving," he told the news outlet.

He added, "We’re a local dive bar in southern Indiana,..."

Maybe things have changed a lot from when my buddies/colleagues and I would go hit a "hole in the wall" bars, but, such bars, back when I used to do that kind of thing, weren't exactly shining beacons of "progressive" thought. Ya had to go to what we called "fern bars" and "yuppie bars" for that kind of thing.

My guess is only part of the bar owner's statement is true: "My bartenders were aggravated ..." Young, Millennial and Gen. Z, minimum wage bartenders, perhaps? The "woke" generations? Bartenders (and other min. wage help?) that were threatening to quit if the "intolerant" patrons weren't muzzled?

Now, after this "woke" misfire, the second part of his statement is realized: Customers are leaving
