“The ill-fated marketing partnership between beer giant Bud Light and trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney was launched without approval from senior executives of parent company Anheuser Busch (AB), according to a new report. [bull shit]

The partnership unveiled on April 2 drew intense backlash from some quarters, with musician Kid Rock posting a video of himself shooting at cases of Bud Light, and country singers John Rich and Travis Tritt dropping ties with the brand.
……

That claim comes despite the attention on Bud Light's VP of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, for her remarks in an interview days before the Mulvaney partnership, saying she wanted to trade the brand's 'fratty' reputation for 'inclusivity'. …”

** Yup...TOTAL bullshit! That woman doesn't flatulate without someone's approval and without someone smelling it.

Is this a learning experience or not for these woke companies? My guess it will take a lot more for them to see that their BS wokeness will damage the bottom line.

Well, it's good either way- if the board of AB didn't know, then they're publicly stating the truth, which distances them from this really bad decision, and if they did know, then they're now lying to cover their ass. Notice that they didn't say "We didn't know, but we support her decision". All they said was "We didn't know."

I like it. It doesn't really matter what the truth is. Missy is getting thrown under the bus.

Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light's VP of marketing, is a senior executive.
Are they trying to defend her? Saying she didn't know? [bullshit]

If that was true they would have said so on day one, but they went into hiding...
This is their best excuse after 9 days?

Nobody is going to believe that bullshit but as long as they have plausible deniability (however ridiculous) she’ll be the one that takes the fall. I assume with a golden parachute.

I could ALMOST believe the executive board didn't know if all that happened was a commercial or some signs. I'm guessing changing the artwork on millions of cans required a LOT of approvals.

Regardless, they are clearly distancing themselves from this. Not a good sign for Alissa Heinerscheid. Of course anytime you cost your company $3B in a week there will be consequences.

WTF does that mean? Sounds like a politician using a bunch of words and saying nothing. What action is he taking, what's in it for the pissed off consumers, how is he going to make sure this doesn't happen again?
