Wow, she really is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't she?

It's all more evidence to me that it's the same handlers that Obama had that made Joe pick her in the first place.

Just as Joe was Obama's insurance policy ("do you really want this idiot to replace Barack if you impeach him?"), they did the same for Biden by picking someone so horrifically incompetent and bad that no one will dare try to replace him with her.

I am all for giving Puerto Rico the boot from US affiliation. Eternal shithole. Then the Pro Palestine protestors can ask HAMAS for $$$! The next hurricane will scrub off all you build there anyway and they will hold out their hands for $$$ afterward. Enough already!

By polling most in PR want absolutely nothing to do with independence. They're proud of their territory, sure, but they're WAY happy to be American.

Worthless commies there are no different from worthless commies on the mainland. Poke them all with sharp sticks until the the Caribbean disappears over their heads.

Back when I lived in Puerto Rico (ancient history, 1950s and 1960s), they were pretty evenly split between those who wanted statehood and those who wanted to keep the status quo.

There was a tiny minority, maybe 1% or fewer, who wanted total independence.

Of course, all of that was more than fifty years ago. I have no idea how the winds are blowing currently.

Almost as well as a three year old child. Smile

My first two years there, late 1950s, was Navy, at Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station. U.S. Navy, so of course everything was English.

Late 1960s I worked as a design engineer at International Tel & Tel. It was truly an international organization, with engineers from many countries, so the "officil" language at work was English.

Later, in the 1970s, I spent a year and a half on a project in Barcelona, where the need for Spanish was much greater than it had been in Puerto Rico, so I buckled down and tried to learn. All of the Spanish engineers I worked with were multi-lingual. They all spoke English and French, and had no problem with technical manuals in German or Russian.

That's the best prepared answer she could think of?
If I were a secret service agent, I couldn't imagine stepping in front of a bullet for her.

If a bullet ever does, I suspect the agent will need to bend down and tie his shoe first.

I needed a good laugh this morning and this did it:

Kamala Harris Outmatched in Debate Against Block of Wood
Joe King by Joe King May 17, 2024 in Politics

Following the announcement of an upcoming debate between Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris was reportedly outwitted in a debate against a block of wood, sources have confirmed.

“Let me just remind this block of wood that if they weren’t here yesterday, they’re not going to be here tomorrow,” began one of many incoherent answers given by Mrs. Harris, former senator of California. “There is nothing we can’t look back at and not achieve if we don’t do it without all of us, either with or without, you know what I mean? And that’s the thing. That’s the whole thing, isn’t it?”

The long-winded, nonsensical statements given by the Vice President served to make her silent opponent, a tree stump that someone appeared to have left up on the stage, come off very well by comparison.

“The tree stump didn’t talk or anything, don’t get me wrong,” said Martin Osgood, a local parkgoer that happened upon the impromptu debate. “But Kamala just said so much ridiculous nonsense that I can’t help but think the block of wood sort of won by default. I’m not even sure how this all came to be, honestly. I bumped into a park worker who said Kamala gets lost out here sometimes, so who knows what’s going on in her world.”

As of press time, Kamala Harris was seen having an intense discussion with a local toddler.

I was looking around on the Max app (HBO's latest rebranding) and watched the first episode of VEEP last night. Except for the fact the Julia Louis Dreyfus is white, the similarities are uncanny.
