^^^ Most likely we will never know if it was offered and rejected. Of course no one really knows what they will do until they are asked. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

EXACTLY! He'll be singing a different tune when he's behind in the polls to President Trump by 60 percentage points. He'll be BEGGING for a VP invite then... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

It's also way too early for anyone to accept the VP position. Advertising for VP right now is political suicide.

Yep. Exactly. But that doesn't stop the press from asking "Would you accept...?" and the correct answer is NO. Until the primary is over and it's been offered, it isn't discussed, other than to say "Not interested". "Some things are apparent. Didn’t Kamala say the same thing? At this point, I’d doesn’t matter, he just can’t be seen to be angling purely for VP. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”

This debate is a complete cluster “F” of individuals that will never be the nominee. Even if you consolidate all the polling support it doesn’t rise to the level of current support for President Trump. I have decided spending anytime even watching the debate is wasteful. I’ll be able to see the highlights after the fact. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tucker has better ratings than Fox during the debate. Here is my personal opinion of the players that will be onstage. Ron DeSantis - great gov, had high hopes, turned out to be a dud and fell flat. He most likely wouldn’t be asked for VP position. Vivek Ramaswammy - interesting guy, watching closely with some reservation. Mike Pence - weak POS, wouldn’t support him for dog catcher. Chris Christie - suicide bomber only in the race to try and disgrace Trump. Will never support. Nikki Haley - Thought she was running for VP when she entered the race. Comes across disingenuous and her negative support of Trump will sink her current political ambitions. Tim Scott - I like this guy but don’t think he brings along new voters needed in the general. His positions are sound and well spoken, but the ignorant free loading feral portion of our country assert him to be “Uncle Tom”. I’ll be paying close attention to him I think he could be the VP candidate. Asa Hutchinson - F this guy with a cactus. He’s the second suicide bomber there only there to disgrace Trump. Doug… I don’t even remember your name from ND. Shouldn’t even be on stage, had to bribe his way to get enough campaign donors. President Trump - no upside to joining the shit show debate. He will be the nominee unless it is taken away by hook or crook. He’s right to not sign the support the nominee pledge. Four of the eight on stage will never get my support, even if that means the Dems continue to destroy our country. I supported that shit twice with McCain and Romney, NEVER again. There are many thing I dislike about Trump but I also believe he already has too many people locked in. I believe this election interference and the criminal indictments will ultimately backfire in the Dems faces. When he becomes the nominee I will proudly stand behind him warts and all. Will we be able to prevail in the general election is anyone’s guess? Our country is on the precipice of choosing to go one way or the other and clearly these competing ideologies can not exist. We will be a free country or we will not. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil

It's pointless. None of them has a chance of being POTUS and they will spend a substantial amount of their time sniping at Donald Trump, at the urging of the moderator, no doubt. Truly, it's a pointless exercise.

No matter who the candidate is, If they agree with any of these statements... The election was not stolen There was a Jan 6th insurrection Trump led an insurrection Trump is guilty of a crime Trump is unfit to be President They are dead to me. I kind of want to watch in the way I'd want to watch a WWF wrestling match: I know it's fake, and it's low-brow entertainment, but I kind of want to see the bad guy get clotheslined by another guy I know is going to turn heel at some point. I just wish there were some 80's style mustaches and shirt ripping. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”

It'll be like watching a junior varsity basketball game. Lot's of unforced errors, showboating, missed opportunities and low attendance. Not to mention how Trump and Carlson will steal the air from the room. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Never miss an opportunity to be Batman! |
I am almost expecting a Dem sponsored event of a circular firing squad with a figurative Donald J. Trump pinata in the center. I will be interesting to see the results: does anyone make any head way into Trumps lead or does Trump gain more of a lead (which would blow up all the media naysayer's heads)?

IMO, he has the position of an incumbent, not just the front runner, and incumbents do not debate in primaries. His name will come up in the debate, and he will be attacked, especially by Pence, Christie, and DeSantis. But look for the candidates to go after DeSantis, they smell blood and weakness right now. The debate between the eight other candidates isn't to win the nomination, for some it's a chance to smear President Trump, knowing they have no shot at being the nominee, for others it's the first of the Vice Presidential debates and selection process.

Yep... they nearly all buried themselves tonight in this first "debate". "Some things are apparent. The losers in tonight's "debate" were Fox News, Martha McCallum, and Brett Baier. I despise the "raise your hand" gimmick. As DeSantis said--this isn't third grade. "Who believes in climate change?" Idiotic. Way too much time on Trump, not enough on Biden's failures. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Yeah, there was no way I was going to watch that thing. I despise Brett Baier and Martha McCallum, I guess you could throw in Neil Cavuto here too, they are liberals doing their best to imitate conservatives just to keep their job. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Did not watch, but what I’m hearing is DeSantis showed his true colors last night. Typical politician, looking to see which way the wind is blowing.

Yep. Idiotic. I was glad to see Vivek call "climate change" a hoax. DeSantis and Ramaswamy were the only two of that group last night who didn't completely blow it, IMO. The rest should never even be invited back for another debate. DeSantis And Ramaswamy Were The Only GOP Debaters Who Understood Their Base Following the first 2024 GOP presidential primary debate on Wednesday, it’s apparent only two of the candidates on stage seemed to understand the will of Republican voters: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. Whether it was on domestic or foreign issues, both candidates used Wednesday’s debate to articulate positions on significant topics that concern millions of everyday conservatives. Regarding U.S. foreign policy toward the Russia-Ukraine war, for example, DeSantis and Ramaswamy were the only two on stage who raised their hands when the Fox News moderators asked which candidates would not support continuous U.S. funding to Ukraine, aligning them with a majority of Americans. Both candidates also emphasized the importance of prioritizing America’s borders over other countries’, with DeSantis saying he’d utilize military assets against the cartels that operate across the U.S.-Mexico border. https://thefederalist.com/2023...derstood-their-base/ "Some things are apparent. Savor the limelight |
They really asked “Who believes in climate change?” and adults running for President of the United States of America were expected to raise their hands? Was the followup question, “Who wants ice cream?” Losers is right.
