fischtown7, thanks again! I just made the purchase. I sure am getting deep into the watch rabbit hole...but will I stop? Wink

vthoky, thanks! I've been stuck on your Seiko ever since I received it!

Been a while since I posted up a watch.

I’ve been wanting one of the Jack Ryan Hamilton khaki chronographs for a while but when I finally got one used it had a stripped out crown so I returned it promptly.

Glad I did because I found this beauty about a week later.

It’s basically the same watch but without the blacked out look.

I also recently acquired a Harrison Ford conservation international Hamilton Khaki GMT but have already managed to break it. Off to Hamilton for a new movement it goes. It was a wonderful watch while it lasted. My luck with used Hamilton watches tends to be hit or miss…..

I’m not too angry about the Harrison Ford GMT crapping out. The movement was due for a service and like a damn fool I took it for a mountain bike ride which the Hamilton did not survive. I should probably have been a bit more gentle with a watch that was past due for service…

Love the case on that Ford GMT, man.

You come up with some really good looking watches, my friend. Smile

God bless America.

Decided I wanted something that brought more orange to the table!

Found a dial on eBay described as “used Seiko Nemo” that looked like it might deliver, and yeah. I think it’s pretty orange!

While I was at it, I swapped out the hands on my first build. I really like the bigger hand set, and the nice clean shapes. Plus, the lume is nice and bright.

Also realized that I’ve basically managed to fill up a watch case with builds over the year!

The only two store bought are on the left, Fortis B42 chrono on top and Deep Blue diver bottom. Everything else started out as bits and pieces, fused through a patented process of profanity into actual timepieces.

Fun hobby, and definitely one I never would have thought I would have been capable of a year ago!

Quite like both of the J Ryan Hamiltons, stick. Good choice on the non-blacked model.

That Orange Nemo is great as well, though not my favorite case style. Love the orange, for sure.

My Timex Peanuts Chronograph came in today!
It’s like an homage to the Omega Speedmaster Snoopy
It has the Orient quartz chrono movement.
The dial detail is amazing.
I have a beads of rice bracelet on the way too!

After 3 1/2 years the band on my TSAR is giving out. Afraid to wear it now. And, Marathon is out of stock. Got to have that vanilla smell back.

This is a wide open question, but I'm interested in buying a lady's Russian watch for a gift...maybe vintage. Something with a very interesting look.

Any and all thoughts/suggestions welcome. Thanks!

SC, that’s a neat watch!!! I’m not typically fond of watches with batteries but that one is definitely one of the cool examples out there! I like it!

I’m still working on posting a photo but lately I’ve started to wear watches again.

In rotation is a 1951 Bulova Director, 1962 Bulova 23 Jewel Self Winding, 1972 Accutron red fade dial, 1964 Bulova Accutron Spaceview (conversion), 1973 Bulova Accutron Railroad Approved, 1992 Seiko day/date and a 1965 LeGant.

The 64 and 73 Accutrons were eBay finds, the others have family connections.
