What is the lug width of your (Citizen CZ) watch for the black bracelet?

Strapcode is offering some nice discounts right now. I "broke the piggy" this morning, ordering up a black (DLC) bracelet for my black Samurai.

I disliked the silicone straps on a couple of Seiko models I've had -- one got a stainless bracelet from strapcode.com, one got a NATO-style band.

The Alpinist [that 6guns now has] came with a very dressy-looking black leather band. I had to "casual it up" a little, and put on a super-soft tan leather band.

There's no harm at all ins swapping bands/bracelets, and many now are coming with quick-change (no-tool) pins to make that easier.

I'm mostly a bracelet kind of guy, but I really do like the leather on the Alpinist! It just fits with the cream face. Besides my father's old Elgin, it's the only leather I have.

Anyway, I have found that I only love this watch when I take the bracelet off and I substitute it for a strap. The strap can be silicone, canvas, etc. I just really only like it on a strap. I even bought a Forstner "president style" bracelet and that didn't make a difference.
Do you guys have any watches that you dislike in one form (on bracelet) and love on another (strap)?

Oh hell yeah! And doesn't sound crazy at all!
My Omega Speedy, the Citizen, the Helm. I rotate through silicone/rubber - canvas - seatbelt NATO straps... A lot of us do. I want to wear my Speedy, and it might look better with a brown leather strap with what I'm wearing. The Citizen might look better with a black NATO today, and a tan NATO next week. I like th elook of my Marathon Chrono with a SS Band, but damn it's heavy! Not to sound like the Fashion Police or a Diva, but yeah, a lot of us switch between straps & bands. (It's almost like getting a new watch when you switch the straps)

Pro-tip:

https://www.bartonwatchbands.c...-EAQYAiABEgK8iPD_BwE

The Omega is a 20mm strap width

I'll have to find the thread on it & check, I think one of our members found one for his.
It's definitely wider than typical.

Here's the thread, but he doesn't mention size/source.

Also, I believe Citizen now offers the CZ with a bracelet, so OE may be an option as well

Hi, I'm Brad and it's been a couple years since I've bought a watch Wink

Been saving my watch fund to buy either a Glasschute Orignal Senator with date (curse you Roger for posting a picture of one, those BLUE hands!) or a pre-owned IWC Big Pilot.

I'm still only half way to have saved up enough, but I'm seeing some new stock Oris Aquis Date Relief with the cherry red dial on sale at very attractive prices and have always wanted one. So do i scratch the easy itch or keep on saving?

Fellow watchaholics, help a fellow to stay strong. Big Grin

Brad, you know I like the Glasschute, but that Oris looks pretty damn sweet.

I prefer the Sixties to the Senator, but both are gorgeous.
The Oris looks nice, but I don't like it on a rubber strap

I'd hold for the Glashutte, but I'm biased, it's on my shortlist of higher end watches

I'm wearing one of those right now. Wink
eTripper- I never thought of tossing a stainless bracelet on it! It looks nice!
Mine have always had NATO & rubber.

CPD SIG, the Aqualands are getting iconic now. I believe this one is a 2.0 iteration in the series. It originally sported the neoprene band. I had to specially-order a bracelet from Japan for this watch (cost was $100 dollars). Circa late-90's, if memory serves.

It takes three batteries, for each function:
analog quartz movement, digital display, and depth-alarm. Watch was on the inactive-list, until I changed the batteries myself. Too good a piece not to wear, and enjoy!

I love mine!
Functionality, looks great, wears nice and the sentimental value of it from my time in the Marines.
-You knew who we were because of the watch. Wink
I have the silicon band laying around the house somewhere with the ND times on the band.

PITA changing the batteries- I always sent mine out because I actually dive with mine.

And you're 100% right with the "Too good a piece not to wear, and enjoy!"
I can't see me NOT wearing it!

One I'm pining for is on a factory bracelet. The red dial really pops in that look.

I'm with you on the Glashutte, it probably will be my grail dress watch.

Omega Moonwatch is #1 on my list, but the Glashutte is in the top 3 for sure.
Looking at the current Glashutte production, it'd be a 1-39-52-06-02-04
Similar to the one r0gue posted years ago.

Thanks again to fischtown, CPD SIG, and Johnny 3eagles for the opportunity to get in earlier on the Titanium Khuraburi. I have an engineer's bracelet for my Komodo, so had to add the titanium version for this. It's super light! Love it! Thanks!

Nice watch!
Stickman was absolutely right about Titanium being a perfect material for a Tool Watch!
Super light for watches that size! That watch & bracelet in Stainless would probably be twice as heavy.
And for the price, Helm's are really hard to beat!

I'm glad you enjoy it!

I was squirreling money away into my Gun/Watch fund for a while, and really looking at a Tudor Pelagos. Another, high up on the list was the Omega Moonwatch. I found a used Omega Moonwatch (Sapphire sandwich- in the Big Box) that was a steal! I couldn't pass it up. Another watch I love wearing!

When you find the one you want for the price you want, you won't regret it!

I'll probably pick up a Pelagos somewhere down the line.
