My $.02?
Longines are great, solid watches.
The price is around the “entry level” for “high end” watches. Great movement and a nice, classic look to them.
For the Wife, even you: Excellent choice!

For me, it wouldn’t be my EDC watch, just because Im rough on watches; like I bang my stuff up if I’m not paying attention. That said, I’d have zero problem with one as a dress watch!

Welp, I've got to send my SMP300 back in to Omega, I guess. I had it serviced in 2020, got it back in July or so, but it has completely stopped. I wear it daily but I leave it at home for certain camping, hunting, and working trips so I don't beat it up. After a couple such trips this summer I wonder if I overwound it getting it back going each time. The first time I wound it and wore it but it was losing time so I wound it more. The next time, I wound it more to start. The power reserve was getting lower and lower.

I really don't want to spend another $600 only four years after the last time.

I’m dual wielding today. Big Grin

This Garmin Instinct 2X Solar is quite impressive for a solar smart watch. It has a bigger battery than my old Instinct 2 Solar. It also utilizes
a more efficient solar charging system compared to the earlier Instinct 2. This smart watch will last over a month without having to be plugged in to recharge.

I own a lot of watches. This Garmin would be one of the last remaining in my collection if I had to sell most of my collection.

It’s actually got me considering a major downsize for the collection since I wear this bright red watch at work and while I ride.

If I were in your shoes, I might try to find a really nice vintage Longines.

I have no issue with my Longines. It’s quite nice and keeps very accurate time. I love the micro adjustments on the bracelet. It’s a fantastic addition. Similar to the same adjustment on my Omega. My wife favors my Longines over all my other watches. Something about Korean culture seems to favor Longines watches.

Ok my fellow watch junkies, I have a Helm Titanium Khuraburi already and I do not need another. Just got an email this morning with code for one from Helm. First person on this thread to say they want it gets it, hate to see it go to waste so only if you are willing to order it. Will email code to your public profile email.

I have the Titainium Khuraburi as well- For a sub $500 watch, you can't beat it! It has quickly become my EDC watch about 90% of the time.

I was thinking about getting the newer one with the date, but I figured lets give someone else a chance at one.

For you folks that have the Titanium Khuraburi, Helm offers a Titanium Engineer bracelet for it.

About 3 pages back, he's 6000 on the list.

hopefully one of us jumps at this chance! They are great watches!

fischtown7, thanks for the offer and Thanks CPD SIG for checking. I must have been wrong on that number. I just checked my position in line and I'm now #1636.

Since it's quite a bit lower, why don't I wait a bit and see if anyone else wants to take you up on it. If no one bites, I'd love the opportunity.

Thanks again!

fischtown7, I replied to your email.
