Your quest for the UN is like mine for the Breitling Galactic 41. I have found one, and it’s either new or in new condition, but he also wants new pricing. I have made a couple offers in the last few years, but he just won’t let it go for anything less than his asking price. I won’t pay ask on it as it’ll be worth half as soon as it’s purchased. I know I should buy what I like and enjoy it, but I can’t spend that much on something that won’t be worth much after it arrives at my doorstep.

Here is the watch I really would like to have again.

Looks like the going price is @ $3500 +/-.

How much is he asking?

Grand date is nice!

$6700. Shipped. It’s quite steep, even if it is brand new (old stock) with box and papers.

Want some 1980’s retro vibes on their wrist? Seiko brought back a very 80’s watch from their past.

Link & more info on Seiko’s vintage reissue

I actually like it. I consider my watch collection to be mostly complete but I honestly don’t have many quartz watches in the collection. This is probably because for the most part quartz watches are boring. This watch doesn’t look boring. Big Grin

Behold the Seiko Rotocall redux.

It’s got a rotating bezel (I suppose you can call it that Big Grin) so it’s got that going for it. Only issue I can see so far is the damn price tag.

It's nice, but for that price it's a sapphire sandwich Moonwatch, or nothing, for me.

Plus I would need a talking seeing-eye dog to tell me what time it was.

Unless it has some good lume not shown in the photo, which wouldn't help in daytime hours.

^^^^

The upside is you need to look at the watch longer and that's it's own reward, no?

I own a few blacked out/stealthy watches. For a bit I went ehh maybe a little overboard collecting that type of watch specifically.

My take is that they are fun for a bit but it gets old only being able to use the watch outdoors and in well lit rooms indoors.

Now not all stealth watches are identical. Some have hands that do a better job than others at attracting/reflecting light thus making them more useful.

I’ve mostly moved on to wearing easier to read watches as Ive aged my eyes are struggling more and more with some of my more stealthy watches. My blacked out watches now tend to get worn on special occasions or when the time is right so to speak. Smile

As far as aesthetics alone stealthy watches look the best IMO.

I’ve always liked the Dark Side of the Moon!
It’s on the “want” list.

There’s a few variants of the watch, some are easier to see the hands than others.

I came across this gently used Ball diver and couldn't resist. It's my second Ball watch. A teaser for me is the case back. It's the emblem of the United States Coast Guard Reserve. I was in the Naval Reserve, but my mariners license is issued by the Coast Guard and I've had a close relationship with the marine safety department of the Coast Guard most of my career.
