In 2005 I switched over from SIGs to the Glock 19. The grip angle was different for me. What I did was enter into an intense (for me anyways) practice regiment to get used to it. I ran 50-100 rds 2x each week at the range. I also ran my dry fire drills with the weapon 3-4x each week. I did this for 2 months. At the end of that time, the grip angle issue was non-existent for me. And shortly thereafter, I was shooting the 19 better than my SIGs on the drills/courses of fire that I used during our weekly defensive pistol league. I really like my 19! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

ardbeg, I agree that the Glock grip angle can feel strange by just handling one. You have to shoot a Glock for a while, and shoot it fast, and all falls into place. The grip angle lends itself very well to combat and stress reaction. Bill HK, Glock, Walther and SIG are my choice in handguns. Weapon Shield CLP for all pistol care. It is a hell of a lot easier to get out of jail than it is to get out of the morgue...

Sure, I'd trust my life to a Glock, no question. Good guns. But if I could trust my life to a Sig or CZ instead, I would. ![]() _____________________________ "Tell the American people never to lose their guns. Well went to buy the Glock 19 not 17 as I previously stated. My buddy who owns the shooting center I go to let's me shoot his P-226. Well, I left with a P-226 Combat on order. He had a Combat with a threaded barrel. I passed. So much for the G-19. I'm happy with my G-23. Still really want a G21SF RTf. Found 2 on Gun Broker. Will see... Freedom is not Free. I went to the dark side.........traded a Kahr CW9 for a G36 with nite sights. I have been missing a Glock since I regretfully sold my 2nd. Gen. G19 around 1992. Ahhh........Life is good! Gotta love a Glock, especially in .45 ACP.

I picked up a new polygonal rifled European designed polymer framed semi automatic pistol today. It wasn't a Glock though, it was an HK P30LS with the light LEM. It's kinda like a Glock but better!! ![]()

Glock #31, purchased 12/09 ![]() Glock #19, purchased 12/10 ![]() Glock #26, purchased last Monday ![]() Glock #17, down payment last Monday, pick it up tomorrow. ![]() All were lightly used. The #31 & #19 went to the factory for night sights and a physical. The #26 & #17 will get the same treatment. I am not a fan, but have come to realize these guns are utility pieces. If lost, stolen, confiscated, or consumed in a fire a Glock can be replaced quickly, inexpensively, and just about anywhere. Sort of like a Sears Craftsman tool.

Just brought a Glock 17 Gen 4 about two weeks ago. Flawless so far. It is not fancy but it shoots great. Will use for home defense and competition. At the gunsmith now for new sights. I never thought that I would own a Glock, but this might work out.

Just bought a Glock 26 Gen 4 last Saturday. Never thought I'd break down and buy a Glock. I wanted something smaller and lighter than my 229's and 226 but with more firepower than the Ruger LCP.

Well this is a kind of in your face challenge, which keeps popping up on a Sig forum. Sorta like peeing in my front yard. Don't really care, but your bound to get called out. ![]()
