I never was a fan of color-filling either. But when I recently got a FDE-colored G20 and would shoot it along with my 17 and 34 at the range, I was inserting the wrong mags in the guns.

Plus it looks kinda cool.

Agony,

I like them a lot. They aren't necessary, but for competition and training with unconcealed carry they allow me better purchase on the mag from the mag carrier. I don't use them on my carry pistol as they are a little wider than factory base plates. Plus they come in FDE. Smile

You will buy 2 Glock s while only intending to buy one..

Alright...
I had a Gen 2 G21 and loved it.
Stupidly sold it after buying my G30S that I ended up selling.. Mad

I found my next Gen 2 G21 on GB and won it Monday..
No mags will come with it, so I need to get a hold of Greg Cote again...

While searching for Gen 2 Glocks I came upon a Gen 2.5 G26..
Why 2.5 you ask?
Well, Gen 2 Glocks have no finger grooves, yet Gen 3 have finger groves with a textured front strap.
This G26 has grooves, but no front strap texture.
The first Glock I ever bought, and carried for 10 years, was just like this one.
But I stupidly sold it after getting caught up in the XD craze.
So I couldn't pass it up.
Only comes with 1 mag, so I need to get a hold of Greg Cote again.....

Both should arrive to my FFL by the end of next week.
I might get a bit emotional when I pick them up..
More pics to come... Wink

I've been where you are NHForester. I wanted to like a Glock but couldn't find a fit until the Generation 4 models came out. I got a model 19 and quite appreciate it. Now I think that there will be more. Uh Oh....

Same here the gen 4 cured the only reason I did not have a glock .now looking for 26 and hope one day they put the 30s out in gen 4

This thread surpasses three quarters of a million views today!

I was reminded that I need to order some more G31 mags from Greg Cote.

As the wise philosopher Brittany said: Oops I did it again.

Picked up a new G41.

4.5 lb. factory trigger, adjustable rear sight, and 3 mags with all the back straps...$550.

13 rounds of 230 grain flying ashtrays just a squeeze away...priceless.

A friend let me shoot about 50 rounds thru his Glock 23 a couple of weeks ago and much to my chagrin...I liked it. I liked its trigger. I liked its ergos. I even liked its accuracy at 25 yards - pretty darn impressed overall. I had always been a Glock-hater but, now, OK I get it. The 23 would make a fine CCW. Am I in a hurry to run out and buy a Glock? No, not really. There are too many other guns I want first but, yeah, you're probably right? I will buy a Glock one of these days.

I got friends in low places. Wink

He will/has sold me Glocks at his cost, but this one involved a rifle trade, in which I had exactly $550 invested.

It was good for me this time, and he says good for him because he can sell the rifle in the store-front for about a hundred dollar profit. He said he would have been lucky to make $20 on the pistol.

He says Glocks aren't moving very well right now on the interwebs, and he showed me an auction that had just ended for the same one as mine for $559 with no bids...has that been your experience as well lately? Glocks not moving well?

I havent been moving much of anything lately. Normally Glock is my main money maker, and I havent moved much recently. I dont sell on GB. Too many people on there willing to make 10 dollar profit before GB fees. My time is worth more than that. Ive been doing decent selling Anderson stripped lowers recently.

We did a gun show last weekend in Springfield, it was pathetic! Other dealers were saying they have been doing that show for 10 years and it was the worst one they have ever done there.

What's not to like? I have made the transition to all Glorks. I have a 34...17..19 & 26. all gen 4's. I went to my buddies range last month to fire my 26 before I assigned it to carry duty.

I tacked up a 1-12 black circle on a sheet of typing paper and stepped back about 13 paces. 30 to 35 feet.

Fired two shots and saw no holes in the paper. Fired three more and was getting pissed at myself. When I went up to the target, I was shocked to see 5 holes in the black circle! Needless to say, the 26 is in my pocket as we speak!!

My guy is saying the same about central MO, but he does most of his work online and he's into some off-the-wall gun stuff that seems to sell pretty regularly. He started out of a garage doing Mosins and mil-surp stuff about 8 years ago. Now he has better new inventory than any gunstore in Columbia or Jeff. Still in the garage, but it keeps getting bigger. Big Grin

Shoot me an e-mail sometime. I don't get to KC area very often, but if I know where you are I'll make it a point to stop in next time I'm up that way.

I think we're seeing the bulk of the panic getting dumped back onto the market right now, at least with the tactical stuff, ARs and Glocks. Seems like old Smiths and German Sigs are still plugging along quite nicely.

Interesting...we've had no trouble selling 9mm Glocks, though 40S&W and 45ACP guns have been quite slow moving of late (except for the G30S). Factory 9mm is still in short supply around here, but it's still considerably cheaper to shoot than the other two calibers and I suspect that's a key factor in why some of the guns sell and others just sit.

My boss found out that I had been interested in the G41 and was willing to sell me one at cost, but I had to tell him that I was not longer all that interested in the platform. At that point he quipped "just like everyone else". Frown

This is what my guy was reporting as well. He said he had to beg for a few 19s and 26s, but couldn't have any in quantity. On the other hand, they were willing to ship semi loads of 21SF and 30SFs if he wanted them.

I gave him the head's up on the 42 from our thread here, and he did thank me for that. He asked how many he should order and I said "hundreds". He's sold a ton of 'em.

He also read his supplier the riot act about having to find out about it from a customer. Big Grin

I have had no issues getting 9mm Glocks.

I am a home based dealer. I only keep 5 of each model of Glock on hand.

They may be trying to order more than me. I dont have a problem ordering 5 each of 17, 19's and 26's Gen 3 and 4.

I have one safe that is nothing but Glock.

The 42 is the one thing my main distributor cant get in. Said they havent got a shipment in a couple months.

I guess I could hit up davidsons, but they are so over priced.
