I was a ratings winner. I highly doubt they were looking for an excuse to cancel it. I don't know if VJ is black or Middle Eastern, but making an ape joke about somebody a lot of people think is black is going to get you into hot water, not unreasonably IMO, even if it wasn't intended as a racial joke. I hate PC and people crying "racist" when there's no evidence of actual racism, but anyone over age 13 otta know how a joke about a black person and apes is not going to go over well.
