rusbroI was a ratings winner. I highly doubt they were looking for an excuse to cancel it.
I don't know if VJ is black or Middle Eastern, but making an ape joke about somebody a lot of people think is black is going to get you into hot water, not unreasonably IMO, even if it wasn't intended as a racial joke.
I hate PC and people crying "racist" when there's no evidence of actual racism, but anyone over age 13 otta know how a joke about a black person and apes is not going to go over well.
That being said, I'm sure none of the ABC late night hosts and their guests have made jokes about Trump, his family, and their race...
