Never much liked the original. Not inclined to watch the remake.

Loved All In The Family, back in the day, despite the fact it was obviously poking fun at ignorant bigots. I liked it, anyway, because it was done very well. Just like the Redd Foxx Show was poking fun ignorant bigots and was likewise done well. Same with the first couple seasons of Saturday Night Live. Remember The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Terrific!

I can't see producers and writers creating anything that would be so much as a pimple on the back-sides of shows like those. These days it's not sometimes funny, sometime poignant commentary on today's issues, but pushing narratives, along with a healthy does of vitriol.

No thanks.

Not to thread drift but I won't watch the show after Roseanne about the couple divorcing but living together and raising their kids. That's more fantasy than Star Wars. Might be great, not my thing.

45_Auto, please fix your signature block. Those long lines wreak havoc with some browsers, particularly on mobile devices. Thank you.

I live with my ex wife and our kids. We are great friends, we just don't really need to be married. We have been living like this for a little over a year and plan on staying this way for at least another year. We are planning a move to FL and at that time we will get two places.

This won't work for most people I know but it is working for us pretty well. It isn't without its challenges but we are happier now than when we were married. We still do a lot of things as a "family" like going to the movies and hanging out with our married friends. But we have our own separate lives as well. If it was not for the kids there is no doubt we would not live together but we decided to try it and it is working just fine.

I try not to watch trash but, unfortunately that is about all that is on unless you watch older programs that have been re-run to death.

I watched some of the originals, but really didn't care for the show.

Yesterday, my wife was telling me how her friend watched the new show and liked it, we found it on demand and tried it. 15 or so minutes later we both said "enough".

Apparently trump called her to congratulate her since her show destroyed the ratings. 18 million viewers for a network show is crazy in this day in age. I didn’t see it and likely won’t.

I haven't seen the new show and I wasn't much of a fan of the old show. I didn't hate it but didn't care much whether or not I saw it.

RB does reach a different audience. I appreciate the Trump support and hope it continues. Now Fox is talking about bringing back Tim Allen and Last Man Standing. Ratings drive everything and I'm not going to bad mouth someone who is supporting President Trump just because she pissed me off 20 years ago.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar begs to differ -- yes, that one, his name is on the article but I have to question his authorship -- he thinks we've got it all wrong. I'm not going to post any particular quotes because the whole piece is filled with quotable boiler plate. The title says it all.

My wife wanted to see what all of the hoopla was about so we watched both ep 1 and 2. We never followed the original show, and from the looks of this show, we won't be following it either.

If Last Man Standing ever gets a reboot, we'll be watching that IF the liberal writers don't fundamentally change it.

My guess the producers are smart enough to wean the politics out of the show. Offend less people.
