Here you go. I can't believe he suggested the GOP rally behind Cruz

The RINOs in DC haven't done a thing to even slow down Obama's progressive policies over the past 7 years, but they have come together in a hurry to do everything they can to stop Trump! Just think if they had fought this hard against Obama the past 7 years they wouldn't even have to worry about Trump - this is all their own doing.

My wife thinks I'm voting for Trump despite the fact I told her I'm undecided. She wants Cruz and thinks Trump won't be any better than Barry. I told her I would vote for Trump just to watch the liberal heads explode when Trump wins the WH.

coming up:

March 5, 2016 (145 bound delegates)

Kansas Caucuses (40) — Proportional with 10% threshold

Kentucky Caucuses (45/42) — Proportional with 5% threshold

Louisiana Primary (46/43) — Proportional with 20% threshold statewide, no threshold for congressional district delegates

Maine Caucuses (23/20) — Proportional with 10% threshold

March 6, 2016 (23 bound delegates)

Puerto Rico Primary (23) — Proportional with 20% threshold
********************

March 8, 2016 (140 bound delegates)

Hawaii Caucuses (19/16) — Proportional

Idaho Primary (32) — Proportional with 20% threshold

Michigan Primary (59/56) — Proportional with 15% threshold

Mississippi Primary (39/36) — Proportional with 15% threshold

http://time.com/4059030/republ...mination-convention/

I think the m/n terminology is total delegates / bound delegates

A bound delegate is a person whose vote will be counted for the candidate they are pledged to regardless of what they actually do at the convention. Unbound delegates may be pledged by personal statements or even state law, but according to RNC rules, may cast their vote for anyone at the convention.

If no candidate secures the required number of delegates by the first ballot in Cleveland (through a combination of bound and unbound delegates), all bets are off, as most states release their pledged delegates at that point.

Fun post-Super Tuesday factoid for the Trump fans (in a political discussion? facts?!?)

quote:
For all of his state wins, Donald Trump has 34.2 percent of the overall votes cast in the primary so far. Cruz and Rubio combined have 49.7 percent.

Now, this was per National Review which has an anti-Trump bent, so I will take it with a grain of salt.

If he earns the nomination before the convention by earning enough delegates during the primaries that the party rules make him the nominee, so be it, and I will support him in November actively.

But if that voter count is true and it holds, one thing that could not be said about a convention where Mr. T winds up not earning the nomination was that it was somehow not reflective of the vote. The rules do not state that a candidate going into the convention with a lead but not enough delegates to clinch is automatically given the nomination.

I don't trust them one bit, all indications are they are gearing up to steal this nomination from Trump.

If they do, all hell is going to break loose and he WILL go third party, and you know what? For the first time in our history, we might have a third party win the White House!

Wouldn't THAT be a sight to see the day after the election, headlines like: "TRUMP'S GREAT AMERICAN PARTY WINS IN LANDSLIDE AGAINST ROMNEY AND CLINTON!"

My wife and I commented last night how presidential and humble (if you can call him humble), Donald Trump was last night.

We also were surprised that Cruz never once mentioned Hillary, but repeatedly mentioned Trump. Rubio kept repeating his conman mantra, but it only seemed weak.

I will proudly vote for Trump in the FL primary. He has shaken things, and it is as if both sides are terrified by him. It is as if the scales have been removed from our eyes.

As I understand it, McConnell has come out and said that he would accept a democraP president if it meant keeping Trump out of the white house.

Does that explain the attitude of the GOPe, or what?

Rubio is saying that since Trump has 35% of the votes so far, 65% of the voters do not want him. I would like to see that turned around. Since Rubio has about X% of the votes, 100-X% of the voters do not want him.

"Stats" like this drive me nuts. Cruz and Rubio cannot share the Presidency, so why do they get to share their percentage of votes? Intentionally misleading.

Facts have no intention.

This speaks to Trump's popularity. Within the rules, he has earned a bunch of delegates, and more power to him, but it is important to understand he has earned no mandate, and may never do so. He is not over 50% even among Republicans.

Also, keep in mind that their numbers could very well wind up combined, if for example Cruz and Rubio went into the convention and agreed upon a Cruz/Rubio or Rubio/Cruz ticket. Wink

And risk being accused of being racist?

Actually, they have been anyway, but compelling proof has been hard to come by so they have been relegated to creativity and imagination, so it's been hard to make it stick.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
