I'm mixed on Trump doing a real time rebuttal.

Let Biden bumble and Trump can do it later. If Trump makes a mistake, the medial will be all over it and not focused on Joe.

It's an edgy idea but I don't know if there's a tremendous upside for Trump doing it. Let the GOP rebuttal take place with proper focus on it. Trump can do it tomorrow.

Let's give it a chance. There's going to be plenty of time for dissent during the stuttering and fake applause to lay out a rebuttal.

There’s not a chance they’ll be focused on pResident Potato anyway.

Pretending the media will “instead” be focused on Trump is a red herring.

My God the decline in Biden is now so bad that he doesn't even have to speak to see it. He is a trove of every physical facial expression generally attributed to senility.

Bidens eyes have now become narrowed to just slits over 50% of the time he is photographed or filmed.
This particular similarity is getting too obvious to ignore:

The RNC will now be headed by Trump people. Ronna's last day is today.

quote:
AP reports Michael Whatley, a North Carolina Republican who has backed Trump’s declarations of voter fraud, is set to be elected the party’s new national chairman in a vote Friday morning in Houston.

Lara Trump will become the co-chair. She follows a precedent set by Maureen Reagan, the daughter of President Ronald Reagan, the last family member of a president to serve as co-chair of the RNC back in the 1980s...

...Lara Trump is expected to focus largely on fundraising and media appearances. The functional head of the RNC will be Chris LaCivita, who will assume the committee’s chief of staff role while maintaining his job as one of the Trump campaign’s top two advisers.

With Trump’s blessing, LaCivita is promising to enact sweeping changes and staffing moves at every level of the RNC to ensure it runs seamlessly as an extension of the Trump campaign.

The new senior roles are expected to be confirmed within hours of the initial speculation as the party sets a course for November.

Fani stuff

David Shafer:

Fani Willis moved to reopen evidence in the matter of her disqualification. We agreed and offered new evidence of our own. Willis then reversed course and moved to shut down all new evidence

Willis wanted info about the wine seller (who took her cash) to be introduced to show she sometimes paid in cash.

But the David Shafer team wanted to introduce two new witnesses who testified Willis and Wade were in a romantic relation much earlier than what Willis testified.

So Willis now says "no new evidence"

The irony of the staff of one district attorney’s office objecting to a member of another district attorney’s office prepared to come forward and testify regarding the disqualification of a district attorney should not be lost on the Court.

The State’s opposition to the testimony of Ms. Yeager and Mr. Arora is particularly perplexing in light of the fact that the prosecution itself had requested that this Court accept an affidavit (not sworn under penalty of perjury) from Mr. Herbert Brody, a wine salesperson or, in the event that the Court declined to accept Mr. Brody’s affidavit, requested that Mr. Brody be permitted to testify.

“The lawyer prosecuting Donald Trump and 18 of his cronies for allegedly trying to steal the election in Georgia has yet another hurdle to clear.

Scandal-plagued Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis could already be kicked off the case for her relationship with a lawyer she hired to help run it.

Now she could lose her job entirely as two Atlanta lawyers are challenged her for DA hours before the filing deadline.

Republican Courtney Kramer, who worked under Trump in the White House, and Democrat Christian Wise Smith threw their hats in the ring on Friday. …”

Regardless of the outcome of all of this, Willis has been thoroughly exposed. I don't think the judge will rule in Willis' favor, but if he does- if he says that the evidence does not meet the standards of yadda yadda- this nasty bitch has been exposed as the idiot she is, as the dishonest person she is, and she has been and is at this time being embarrassed. This will follow her the rest of her life.

I cannot imagine that she does not now regret ever charging these cases against Donald Trump and his associates.

FDNY boss hunts down staffers who booed NY AG Letitia James, cheered for Trump at promotion ceremony

https://nypost.com/2024/03/09/...-promotion-ceremony/

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed New York Attorney General Letitia James – and cheered in support of Donald Trump – during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned.

FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of “Trump” that James received at Thursday’s event.

“BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote FDNY chiefs Saturday in the letter obtained by The Post.

“I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down,” he continued.

“The [deputy chiefs] shall direct the captain of the company to make a list of those who come forward and send it directly to [FDNY operations]. I realize members might not come forward but they should know that there is clear video of the entire incident and they will be contacted by BITS if they don’t,” he wrote.

An FDNY retiree fumed at the department’s heavy-handed response.

“It was a political stunt for the city to have the AG there. When it backfired, they sent their fascist pit bulls after guys for exercising their First Amendment rights,” he said. “Most were off-duty and not in FDNY uniform.”

Famed constitutional and criminal law attorney Alan Dershowitz blasted the FDNY’s hunt down.

“Firefighters have an absolute constitutional right to boo the attorney general, and the government has no power to punish them for it,” Dershowitz told The Post. “So efforts to get the names of the booers is an effort by the government to chill free speech and is unconstitutional.”

The Uniformed Fire Officers Association sent out a message to its members on Saturday warning them of the directive and that the department is in “possession of video footage of the event.”

“As part of this discussion, questions may be asked to specific UFOA members over their actions or their recollections,” the message said.

The union advised members to follow FDNY regulations but to contact the UFOA for legal representation if they feel they are the subject of an investigation.

Ben Shapiro

This week, new polling showed what Democrats have long feared: Donald Trump is now in commanding position to defeat Joe Biden and win reelection in 2024. According to the latest New York Times/Siena poll, Trump is up 48-43 over Biden; what's more, Biden is actually underwater among Hispanics, earns just two-thirds of Black votes, and has cratered among independents. According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump now leads in every swing state but Pennsylvania and is within the margin of error there, too. Nationally, Trump has not trailed Biden since September 2023.

We all know what's going wrong for Biden: He's widely perceived as too old to be running again; Americans remain unhappy with the economy, deeply enraged over border policy and alarmed by the brush fires around the world. Biden came into office promising normalcy, and he has instead delivered chaos.

But there's something else going on, too.

Joe Biden is losing to Donald Trump because of a dirty little secret: Donald Trump is actually the moderate in this race.

On nearly every issue, Trump is closer to the median voter than Biden. Biden won the Democratic primaries over Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2020 because voters thought he would tack toward the center, away from the insanity of The Squad in Congress -- borderline psychotics like Reps. Cori Bush, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. Instead, he entered office believing that he had a mandate for transformation, that he could become our age's FDR or LBJ.

And so Biden abandoned the middle.

And median voters are now abandoning Biden. As election analyst Nate Silver rightly observes, The New York Times poll shows that "only 83 percent of voters who say they chose Biden in 2020 plan to vote for him this year, whereas 97 percent who voted for Trump plan to vote for Trump again. These are swing voters, in other words -- people who are explicitly stating to pollsters that they are switching their vote from 2020. There are a substantial number of them." Because the legacy media are monolithically radical on matters of politics, they keep encouraging Biden to double down on the left-wing base, hoping that by steering toward the radicals, he can boost voter turnout. But that strategy is leaving independent voters behind.

On immigration, Biden is underwater by over 20 points. On inflation and spending, Americans favor lower inflation and lower spending -- both propositions that cut against Biden's preferred policies. On national security, Americans broadly favor Israel over Hamas -- and yet Biden's administration has steered toward the pro-Hamas voters in Dearborn, Michigan.

For some reason, Biden and his team think that their echo chamber strategy -- shouting "Jan. 6!" over and over while demonizing their political opposition as insurrectionists and traitors -- is likely to jog enough base turnout to overcome their loss of the middle. But that's a chimerical proposition. Biden, in other words, has been suckered by the very people who want him to win most -- the radicals in the media who keep ramming him toward the far left, even as he falls further and further behind in the polling.

chimeric - existing only as a product of unchecked imagination

The Fire Department personnel will find out if their union is worth a shit, will it stand up for the fire fighters or the bosses? This all about retribution from the commissioner putting a secret list together to deny certain people (the ones she wants to put on the list) promotions, transfers, and training. The fact that this has been leaked to media (both lamestream and other) shows how some of the other bosses are against this.

She already has a lawsuit pending against her:

Demoted FDNY Chiefs File Blistering Lawsuit against Fire Commissioner

So what is a few more.....Read the above link, she has NO Fire Department actual experience, she is a political operative making sure the Fire Department is marching lock step with the other New York City and State Dims.
