To be honest I feel like the cdc is about as worthless these days as the proverbial tits on a bore and have not listened or believed a thing they have come up with from just about the get go. A crooked bunch of a-holes. Along with their com padres.

Around here, we've banned plastic bags at supermarkets and the use of plastic straws in restaurants. Eco friendly they say.

I wonder how much waste relative to bags and straws we've created with these useless masks....

ZSMICHAEL,

Several pages back, the conversation between you and I was getting a little more heated than most folks here like to see.
You got to the point of name calling by saying "I am opting out of responding to you because I do not feed trolls. And trapper is correct this thread is turning into a shitfest" . Regardless of the circumstances that lead up to that point, I decided , out of respect for our members and this fine Board I've been a member of since 2002, to keep my mouth shut and no longer address you directly since it would only lead to more of the same. It's been weeks since that time. Since you were "opting out of responding" to my posts, I thought everything was Peachy. Since that time, I did notice a number of digs toward R.F.K. Jr. that were more than likely aimed in my direction. To be honest, I got a chuckle out of it because I knew the R.F.K. links must have really stuck in your craw. I was fine with your comments and had no desire to respond.

To my surprise, a couple of days ago, you suddenly changed your mind and have now decided to respond to my post regarding the ridiculously low Covid-19 deaths (21) in a Country (Tanzania) with more than 58.01 million people that didn't have the extreme lockdown measures.
Based on our previous history, I let it be known I would like to keep things the way they were and not get this shit started again. Since then, the only 2 posts you've made in this thread are directed at my posts regarding the Tanzania.

I sincerely hope my comments are not bothering you that much. My posts are intended to point out and highlight information usually not available through the MSM. The members here can view the links and decide for themselves if it's credible.

Anyway... I wish you the best and would like to move on.

The masks are, at best, theater to give the masses a false feeling that they are doing something and have some control. At worst, they are part of a massive con. Using peer pressure and government force to make me wear one makes me angry.

Like Nuclear, I worked nuclear power while in the Navy. I was part of crews that refueled reactors on 2 occasions. I know how to prevent contaminating myself. A mask that I carry around in my pocket for a week or two is a total joke and 100% ineffective.

We were traveling back to Montana from Florida last April 1 after this virus emerged. The first stop we made was at a gas station. I masked and gloved up and filled my SUV and discarded my gloves (the proper way) and decided I needed the men’s room. Another set of gloves. Now, did I contaminate my hands by opening the door to the store and door to the bathroom? I need fresh gloves or my wiener may fall off.

Get the picture? We talk about masks as the end all way of stopping the virus but our hands are probably a greater risk. Nobody addresses that. Look at all the stuff you touch in the grocery, hardware, etc store. Sure, they my run a rag over the handle of your shopping cart but that’s not the only thing you touch.

It’s a minefield out there. Yes, both my wife and I had it last fall. It manifested as a cold. We tested positive via blood donations.

Mike

I'm not sure how much of this was covered in the MSM. If it is covered at all, the MSM will grossly underestimate the crowd size.

Who here is ever within 6 feet of any non-family/non-friend individual for 15 minutes while out running typical errands? I usually don't spend more than 15 minutes inside of most businesses period.
And that 6 foot distance has now been revised to 3 feet in schools because they found no statistical difference in infection with the smaller distance. This BS is being made up on the fly and has zero correlation to anything even approaching science.

I have however found a loophole. The standard signs on the doors of Costco and many other local establishments states "A mask capable of covering your nose and mouth must be worn by everyone entering this business." So that's exactly what I do. I hang the mask around my neck and go shopping. My mask may not be covering my nose or mouth, but I am 'wearing' it, and it is "capable of covering" my nose and mouth. I pointed this out to the Asst Mgr at HD (someone I've known for several years) when he was poking at me about it, and he had a good chuckle and bid me a good day. Smile

Wear it around your elbow.

Reminds me of a guy on a motorcycle years ago in New York who was being constantly pulled over and ticketed because he was wearing his helmet on his knee and not his head. However, he beat the ticket every time because the law simply stated that a helmet be worn but did not specify where. Eventually the law was changed i believe to be more specific.

The virus is contained in water droplets.

Whether the mask has filtration to the size of the virus is irrelevant. Whether it has filtration to the size of the water droplets is very relevant.

In my field of biotech this line of thinking is not considered, I don’t know what word, maybe it’s not considered a viable argument. It’s “common sense”. But in contamination control common sense is often false. The studies showing masks help tested for water droplets. But when studies test actual viral particles masks do nothing to lower transmission.

These go to eleven.

Lockdown enthusiasts and mask shamers are just modern day flat earthers. Treat them as such.

Wash your hands. Don't finger fuck your face. Don't lick doorknobs. If someone is coughing or sneezing don't get all up in their grill.

You know, the shit mom taught you when you were 5.

Live your life free from the fear they are peddling. You'll enjoy it more.

I wonder how opening up the Southern border, and turning tens or hundreds of thousands of "refugees" loose in the population will affect our covid numbers. I'm sure all of them had their physicals, had their covid vaccines, and all their immunisations updated before travelling North. Right?

Honestly, I don't know what to think about the mRNA vaccines. My wife has already had the vaccine; I have not.

My biggest problem with the vaccine is that I don’t trust Dr. Fauci.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
