Those fascist totalitarians trying to get their precious freedom. What kind of maniacs would want freedom over their bodies? It's disgusting and shameful.

They are going to kill grandma!

It is odd that they'd force the kids away from presumably the safest place in America with 99% compliance rate. It's almost like they believe the vaccines are effective?

chellim: please don't take my comments the wrong way. I'm grateful for all the great info you find and post. And I'm averse to the shot to the point where I may lose my job if the mandates are re-instated.

My point is that, when using the R2 and slope data, it would be a hard sell to the same people at work where decisions are made and debated with much higher levels of correlation and higher slopes. In this context, the slope seems relatively flat and the R2 is pretty low and probably easily challenged. I want the data to be true and the stats to be stronger.

While visually the chart suggests one thing, the numbers are not as strong and convincing as I would need them to be.

Perhaps there is something getting lost by taking 'avg new cases' - a correlation of avg's may be not the right way to look at the data.

Kroger Ending COVID-19 Sick Leave Benefits for Unvaccinated Workers, Adding Health Surcharge

https://www.theepochtimes.com/...6g6l2qz4qSI7tstBuxM3

Kroger is ending certain benefits for unvaccinated workers in order to compel its workforce to take a COVID-19 vaccine. Unvaccinated workers will no longer be eligible to receive up to two weeks of paid emergency sick leave if they get sick with COVID-19 variants.

Kroger, the country’s largest grocery chain, employs almost 500,000 employees who interact with as many as 9 million customers daily across the nation.

“We are modifying policies to encourage safe behaviors including vaccination, which we continue to incentivize with a $100 payment for all fully vaccinated associates,” said Kristal Howard, director of Corporate Communications and Media Relations for Kroger in an email to The Epoch Times.

Only unvaccinated managers and other non-union employees on the company health plan will face the $50 monthly surcharge.

A “$50 monthly surcharge will be implemented on Jan. 1, 2022 and only apply to salaried associates who are unvaccinated and enrolled in a company healthcare plan,” not to hourly associates or unionized workers, said Howard.

“While COVID-19 leave will no longer be available to unvaccinated associates, we continue to offer a variety of forms of leave for associates who may contract the virus, including earned PTO and the ability to apply for unpaid leave.”

Only fully vaccinated workers who get a COVID variant will still get special sick leave.

Howard said that the previous emergency leave policy was put into place last year when vaccines were unavailable.

Kroger implemented emergency leave in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic that allowed paid time off for any worker diagnosed with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

All employees were eligible to receive their standard pay for up to 14 days.

Kroger’s policy changes will not apply to employees with approved medical or religious accommodations.

The company said that it will continue to make adjustments to comply with OSHA’s COVID-19 vaccine requirements.

Kroger is one of many companies abstaining from forcing an outright mandate on its employees, instead using coercion through the application of company-sponsored health plans.

Ha. I'm not either. Smile Maybe a stat expert can weight in.

But thinking about this a little: a flat slope may actually be meaningful. Regardless of % vaccinated, avg new cases per day remains the same which means something else is modulating avg new cases, not vaccination %.

That being said, R2 for this data set seems low still - basically indicating weak / no correlation. +1 indicates strong positive correlation, -1 indicates strong negative correlation. 0.02 is near zero and very weak.

Flat with strong correlation would be actionable. This data seems unactionable.

Don’t feel bad, kimber. Someone posted the same thing on another board and that’s where I saw someone else post that it was old news.

Tell ya what, let's see Kroger throw a $50 or $100/month premium on 'black' workers since they are statistically more likely to have cardiac issues. Or how about a $50 or $100/month premium on female employees because they require more medical maintenance and can potentially birth new people. Any of this legal??? Whether legal or not, Kroger wouldn't go anywhere near these items for obvious reasons. If Kroger employees would simply band together and walk out for a bit, Kroger would be brought to heal.

You live in the area and don't shop at HEB? Bruh... That's like saying you like Pilot better than Buc-ees! Wink

I know K-Roger claims to save you money with their BS reward card, but HEB prices are lower overall without having to use a market-research card at all. Plus they have good coupons in store as well. Not only that you will be supporting a Texas based company rather than a huge national.

Yes I will shamelessly shill HEB to anyone who will listen. It really is that much better. Big Grin

Vaccine Mandates Violating Personal Liberty: ‘What’s The Big Deal?’

WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 13: U.S. President Joe Biden speaks during a briefing about the recent tornadoes in the Midwest in the Oval Office of the White House December 13, 2021 in Washington, DC. More than 60 people were killed, and officials fear the number will grow after a series of tornadoes and severe storms made their way through several states in the Midwest over the weekend.

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden downplayed concerns that many Americans have about his vaccine mandates going too far and encroaching on their individual freedoms.

“Your vaccine mandates have suffered some setbacks in court recently,” WHIOTV 7 reporter John Bedell said. “Federal judges have halted three of those COVID vaccine mandates.”

“Are you going to back down or are you going to continue to fight those in court?” Bedell asked.

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Not the vaccinated, the unvaccinated. That’s the problem,” Biden said. “Everybody talks about freedom about not to have a shot or have a test. Well guess what? How about patriotism? How about you make sure you’re vaccinated, so you do not spread the disease to anyone else.”

“What about that?” Biden continued. “What’s the big deal?”
