The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Well, I guess Lyda did not take Intro Psychology. Peer pressure peaks around 9th grade, and declines after that.

I have read multiple reports that is the truth. They were bio-engineering the thing in this lab, testing it.

^^^ I seriously would have no problem believing that that is true. I just haven't heard any serious discussions about it yet. Will we ever know for sure? I hope so. The Chicoms are a dangerous, evil regime.

since Day 1 of this clusterfuck I've been convinced that this was an engineered virus and that it was deliberately released by the Chinese military to do just what it did

too much evidence points to anything but deliberate

I'd like to see some of this evidence. I've read the entire thread and the links posted and don't recall anything that convinced me that the virus was engineered any more than the Spanish Flu was.

Agreed. IIRC, it was discussed early on if this was engineered and someone mentioned that engineered viruses, in this case, would leave obvious markers. These markers haven't been found. I think we'd know it if they were.

just did some quick math here...

the media has been breathless in Arizona being the new hotbed of the Wu Flu and out cases are a staggering 84,092...I mean wow...thats a huge number and we should be ashamed

worse yet a whopping 1720 have died because of it, and thats unacceptable

the current population of Arizona is 7,286,000 so if 84,092 have been 'confirmed' and I use the term loosely because I think they're using the wrong term here then this means that 0.001166% of the population has the crud

and I think the death rate is less than 1% - perhaps someone can check my math - 1720/84092....

so we shut down the entire state, have destroyed businesses, trashed the economy and are now forcing everyone to wear masks, stay six feet apart....really

but more importantly, if we're supposed to stay 6' apart social distancing and that was determined scientifically to be the 'right distance' then why are the masks necessary?

conversely, if the masks are so good as to be effective, then why do we have to social distance, stay at home...

You've messed up your math there... 84,092 out of 7,286,000 is 1.15%.

Really, you can't do this your head? Take 84,092, shift the decimal two places to the left which gives you 840 or 1% of 84,092. Multiply 840 by 2, 1,600+80=1,680, or 2% of 84,092. 1,720 is more than 1,680 therefore the death rate is more than 2%, about 2.05% which is also easily figured out since 1,720-1,680=40 which is about 10% of 50% of 1% of 84,092, or .05%.

Just a reminder that ANY talk of a lockdown is purely political and anti-science.

The lockdown was specifically implemented to flatten the rate of infection to ensure medical resources were not overwhelmed. We have not approached having medical resources overwhelmed, in fact many in the medical profession lost their jobs or had their hours and income seriously reduced.

The lockdown did what it was supposed to do. Now we have to learn to live with this and continue our lives. Any lockdowns from this point on are purely political and intended to hurt the re-election of the president. There is no science to support locking down the economy again.
