Phil "BigBoreShooter". A very good man.
That was a great time at the shoot.
Met his daughter, Bama Jeepster and wife, Coffee Addict, Ralph (45Cal) and several others.

Thank you! I could remember his CUT (“Bring enough gun,” IIRC) and even his photo, but not his forum name. He was definitely one of the good guys.

This is for Para:

I made some really dumb comments back in the first page or two of this thread and you rightfully called me out on it. I apologize and never meant to infer that you weren't running a tight ship here which you are every day.

I will do better.

JAllen was one of my favorite members. I cherish the conversations I had with the man and I miss him.

I’ve been a bit of a shit head on this forum in the past (this is why I read a lot more and post quite a bit less) and I’m not proud of it but I consider myself lucky to have found THE best forum on all of the internet with the best group of gun enthusiasts you could ever hope to have on one forum.

Thank you Para for making such a forum exist and for running a tight ship. I know that is not easy.

For some reason, I seem to remember Dave saying how incredibly strong the dude was and how it took multiple people to keep him held down. Also said the guy spit on them.

I still laugh at what Dave said about that incident "He called me every Asian racist slur except the correct one"

I met (and bought a watch from) craigcpa a while back. A quick search shows he hasn't posted here in over three years. Anyone else know him?

God bless America.

Tomorrow marks another anniversary of the 9/11/01 terrorist attack on our country. On the 20th anniversary, three years ago, para called for us to tell our stories about that day, now 23 years ago. I saved many of the stories related by Forum members because they were so incredible. The ER doc who had moved to Miami from NYC and knew so many impacted by the attack. The SSgt stationed at STRATCOM on 9/11. The guy who worked for True Temper Tool Co. Another Air Force guy recently transferred to D-M in Tucson whose neighbors helped landscape their new home because he was engaged after the attack. A couple guys who were working at the Pentagon following the attack. So many. So memorable.

That was in the fall of 2015, the shoot was at The Firing Line in Westland. Afterwards the group met at a restaurant in Ann Arbor, I forget the name of it though. That was a good time.

Two words. 'Test Pilot'.

He had some 'interesting' ideas on training, not to mention claiming all kinds of military service and then refusing to back any of it up.

Haha, was it this Dave?

If I remember correctly, he had this large poster size portrait professionally made and mounted it in his parents' living room while they were away, complete with a large frame and museum style lighting. He did it right before they had planned a Christmas party at the house. They didn't notice it until the party was in full swing.

I believe you're talking about cmr076 "the cat whisperer" who had the auto shop and then later went to work for Oracle Arms. But I could be mistaken.

Circa 2014 (plus or minus a year), member "Cragar" had a multi-page, acrimonious falling-out. He thought then-president Obama was being "demonized."

I remember back in the day, there was a forum member that would post all of these amazing quality pictures of very rare and cool firearms on a regular basis, don't know what happened to him or his pictures.
