Obviously, one person that comes to mind was the guy with the "are you smoking fucking dope" guy. But does anyone else remember a guy who was holding a karma but asked for payment? It's been probably 10 years or so but there was a guy who was "giving" away a long gun and he asked to be reimbursed for it. I think it was Para who told him that giving something away doesn't mean being reimbursed for it, that would be selling something. Any other unforgettable moments or people that come to mind? _____________

The "gay cake" guy. ETA: The "Cliffy Dope Smoking" thread was literally the funniest thread I ever read here. _________________________ "Age does not bring wisdom. Often it merely changes simple stupidity into arrogant conceit. It's only advantage, so far as I have been able to see, is that it spans change. A young person sees the world as a still picture, immutable. An old person has had his nose rubbed in changes and more changes and still more changes so many times that that he knows it is a moving picture, forever changing. He may not like it--probably doesn't; I don't--but he knows it's so, and knowing is the first step in coping with it." Robert Heinlein

The guy ranting about how the Karmanator must be rigged because only "high profile members" ever win. Or the guy who threw a fit because the Karma he won took to long to get shipped to him.

The "gas pedal" (an ultra-extended Sig takedown lever that you could rest your thumb on for a "thumbs-forward" grip) thread. You shall not speak its name! The member living in his car (!), which in turn rusted to the ground and was no longer drivable. Other members chipped in to get him a new car. More somber note: one member who was - and is - normally sensible started posting weird, out-of-character, borderline incoherent things due to some kind of health event. Another was talked down from suicide. Some of the members depicted are still active and participating, so I'd rather not name names.

Probably inspired by that, somebody adopted the CUT "Low profile member."

J allen hands down. I miss his posts about money and investing. Smart dude. He went to UT austin I believe and was in the band. We are about same age. My school played in the first bowl game against texas. We kicked their ass in one game and they beat us following year. Saw OJ in person with his giant Afro. USC beat us that year. All before Brian Kelley ditched ND and went to LSU. those of you who follow college ball should know all that. Ed Sprinkle was my Little League coach. Played for the bears. His kids and I were buddies in high school. My plumber drove a 65 mustang he restored. He passed away but you can raad his obit online. The first comment on the Obit memorial was from the bartender at the local country club in chicago. Figures. Halas said Ed was the toughest player he had. Not Butkus. I live close to NOLA and we have more casinoes that drives our economy. I like guns of course. I enjoyed the debate about the gun guy used to waste the kid. A close friend of mine sent me to pics of the aftermath. Usual stuff that CPD sig gets to see on a daily basis in Chicago. Not posting that online. I do not expect a response. Para does not like sports but most of forum does .

Was it LBJ that had a picture of him wearing a tinfoil hat? Whoever that was I still picture that every time I'm considering some new conspiracy theory floating around the internet. Of course, the hundreds of people who talk shit to para without even realizing they are in his house. That never gets old. First In Last Out

In no particular order: 1) Militec oil and easy bake ovening 2) Gecko45 3) Some member (he who cannot be named) who got flamed after boasting about his millionaire life style with his "super hawt wife" 4) The world famous USA breakfast picture 5) Can't forget the epic 4 years of Trump threads, #5 in progress 6) The Massad Ayoob thread, where someone called him an idiot, and Para invited him on to set the record straight, epic! 7) The death of JAllen. I was fortunate enough to have had several meetings with him in La Jolla before his passing, true gentleman, Naval Officer, and patriot. Will never forget taking him on tour to NAB Coronado and him seeing a BUD/S class, then picking up some sandwiches at Point Loma seafood, and eating them at Rosecrans National Cemetery overlooking North Island Naval Air station, NAB and the silver strand just listening to his stories 8) The relationships that got matched on this forum, SIGtinder? Not to be confused with SIGrinder, no one is judging . And let's not forget all the babies and grand babies born on this forum! 9) 12131's most epic karma's. I have no idea how many 228's he has given away, let alone all the other firearms. I know, because I have one, thank you sir! You inspired me to karma several Atlas Shrug books and CAT tourniquets, which I need to do again soon 10) Dave Truong and his monthly karma's, SIGforum coin, SIGforum watch, and ring. Plus his service for engagement and wedding rings, he is probably singly responsible for all the SIGforum babies 11) Appliance Brad who has given thousands of hours of appliance knowledge, but more importantly has shown us how to effectively be local citizens, to show us how to be involved. 12) Clubleaf, who for decades has provided us with that moment of Zen we so needed, especially in the darkest of times. When Para says just take a deep breath, Clubleaf always produces, thank you sir! 13) Why I carry two pistols? JJones, trolled everyone and brought back the infamous Calvert1 ...double G17 bitches! 14) IndyFFL, Cliff and and Kegger...amazingly fantastic examples of crash and burn 15) Bendable for keeping it real. For making all of us pause and think and most importantly ponder _____________________________ Off finding Galt's Gulch
