I'm still trying to figure if the Chinese Spy Balloon guy was real... Thread-wise (besides You Will Buy A Glock) the ones about melee weapons and fixed blade knives in troubled times got me to stock up on cutting implements.

Just a couple to add

cee_kamp for his "I blame PHPaul & the other Kubota owners!" thread, while it's interesting to hear the tractor and cabin build part, the saga surrounding the trespassing by the power company and his relentless pursuit of them for criminal and civil remedies is a good read

dave7378 we all remember his Turks and Caicos thread, reading about how it came about from beginning to his final release, and the lesson learned about checking your travel bags if you shoot, and that other countries laws can really bite you

Yep, that guy! His postings as to his location over the US at the time were more accurate than the news outlets. Smile

The thread I remember most was the Forum member who was contemplating suicide. His user name escapes me, but he had a skull as his avatar. The outpouring of love and support from para and the members of SigForum was incredible. I believe there was a Go Fund Me effort, because at least part of the member’s problems were financial. He was brought in off the ledge, stuck around for awhile, then drifted off. Not sure what his ultimate outcome was.

There have been threads here that were memorable because they were very funny. The most memorable for me are the ones that illustrate what a true community we have here in SigForum.

Our family spent the day praying for that member. We would take breaks and I would refresh the page and read the new posts out loud to them as Sigforum folks located and get help for him.

It was a powerful and moving experience; it was one of the best, if not the best, days for Sigforum.

For me, the <<ARE YOU SMOKING F'ING DOPE>> thread was the funniest. That day, I sat there reading the thread and laughing so hard that, at one point, the wife thought she was going to need to call an ambulance because I could not catch my breath.

Right after I found this forum, in 2013, there was a guy here showing off his new car, I think it was a Subaru. Someone took the picture he posted of he and his car and photoshopped it to look like the General Lee paint job. It was a joke, obviously, but the guy got bent out of shape about it and eventually left, or was banned. I think he lived in Pacific Northwest.

I was just trying to recall that episode.

A classic Monkey masterpiece, and the reaction was pretty epic. Big Grin

I did not know Horse. But when he passed and you guys were all saying goodbye, that was new to me. I have not been involved in an online group like this and it was special. And then when 'Horses' account posted a thank you from "Mrs. Horse" my heart melted.

There are so many countless stories about this forum and its members reaching out and helping each other. I truly mean this when I say I am honored and deeply value my membership here.

Now where is that pesky rulebook. . . .

There's more than a few "Great moments in Sig Forum History"!

Some just plain funny-
Cliff smoking dope, Kegger's burrito fucking, Gay cake, Longbow...
Airsoft's "Chack-chack" speech.

There are some truly awesome moments-
One members struggle with the bottle, and our willingness to help out.
I remember Para asking to help locate someone for another potentially life saving issue.

There's some head-scratchers too-
46 and 2's flame out left me wondering "why"? There were a few others along the way that left, got shown the door, laughed out of here that for whatever reason, they decided to go off the rails...

Some truly sad moments, JAllen's death, Vero8's Death, Horse, as well as the others we have experienced.

There's some incredible people here as well!
Some Jeweler that will whup yo ass if you act up on an airplane seems to be a pretty great guy, and had the pleasure to meet him in person for about 5 quick minutes.
There's another guy who posts amazing photos every week, that I hope realizes gives a lot of us a quick, mental vacation.
Another guy that will help you fix your refrigerator, oven, toaster... at the drop of a hat.
There's some Asian Dr that has this awesome sense of giving, not only his knowledge of "odd-ball" Sigs, but actual Sig's as well.
The knowledge and wisdom, AND WILLINGNESS TO SHARE IT of every member here. I don't think that there's been a question that has stumped the Sig Forum. Most will get a correct answer within 30 Minutes.

Some of the people that got lost along the way, or just fell off the earth that I hope are doing well.
DocSteve is one of them.

I don't remember any names involved, but I remember some dissatisfied members leaving here and trying to create a competing forum. And...

CDNN. Stand by for a coded message. Always got a kick out of that.
